I am a British PhD with degrees from the universities of London, Jerusalem, and Cambridge. Author of 'Israel and the Cold War: Diplomacy, Strategy, and the Policy of the Periphery at the United Nations' (I. B. Tauris/Palgrave Macmillan, 2013), I have written for several academic journals and newspapers and reviewed for the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House. I was the first recipient of the Mikardo scholarship awarded by the British Foreign Office, and, whilst at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, I was awarded a Golda Meir Fellowship. Whilst at Cambridge, I won a Donner prize in Atlantic Studies. In addition to the subjects listed below, I tutor in International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies, and I'm happy to consider all enquiries within my general areas of interest and experience. I am also available for dissertation consultation, proofreading, and help in exam and essay writing.
A former Teaching Fellow at King's College London, I have taught MA courses on the Arab-Israeli conflict, US and British Foreign Policy, War and Peace in the Middle East, and Inter-Faith Relations. A fluent Hebrew speaker, I was Peer Tutor in Hebrew at University College London, where I was awarded the departmental prize for excellence in the Hebrew language. I have tutored privately abroad, as well as in Britain, and have an immensely successful record with my tutees. In addition to online tuition throughout the academic year, I also offer intensive tuition during school and university holidays, which both tutees and parents find particularly useful for preparation, consolidation of knowledge and, if need be, to get a tutee back on track. For peace of mind, I have an enhanced DBS check, and am subscribed to the annual update service.
Tuition Approach.
Patient, understanding, relaxed, interactive, theme-based, and multi-disciplinary. Use of past papers, analysis, deconstruction of exam and essay questions, concepts, and requirements, development of essay and exam structure. I pay particular attention to a student's self-confidence and self-expression, which often serve as catalysts for enhanced self-belief and success.

I have recently graduated from the University of Birmingham with first-class honours, as well as the Richard Shackleton prize for best dissertation in the year. As a consequence, I have developed my essay writing techniques and structures to a level that is a very high standard. Within my tutoring sessions, I will be able to help to pass on the skills and techniques to my clients and make them feel comfortable and assured when facing a tricky question or concept.
Most importantly, however, history and English are subjects that need to be approached with curiosity and fascination. My sessions will approach various history and literature in a way that removes the perceived dustiness from History and English and will help the client to approach difficult concepts in an interpretive manner, which will help them to write clearer and more confident answers.
I am a current masters student and very flexible, I will be able to be accomodating for the student when they would like a tutoring session. Moreover, I will offer the first session free in order to see if the client enjoys and responds to the teaching. Flexibility and comfort are crucial.
I will be able to offer valuable essay and exam technique for clients in their GCSE or A-Level cycle- or just for students wishing to feel more confident. Fundamentally I will instruct how to break down a question, choose an appropriate structure, pick critical evidence and lay down quality and evaluative analysis. For clients looking to develop a wider interest in historical events, ideas and theories, I can use the experience and reading from my university years to teach these in a unique and exciting way. I firmly believe History to be dependent on curiosity and I would relish teaching it in this way.
For those looking for English lessons: I attained an A* in my GCSE, an A* overall in my A-Level (including full marks on my English coursework in year 13), as well as a first in a module on George Orwell in my final year that was very literature-based. I am more than capable of teaching a fascinating programme in both English and History and I look forward to doing so.

I'm excited to offer tutoring and life coaching services that are not just educational but also inspirational and supportive. Having recently completed my exams with an impressive 43/45 in the IB program, my experiences uniquely position me to relate to and advise students on both their studies and the broader aspects of university life. My teaching approach is friendly and helpful, drawing from my personal journey where I overcame numerous obstacles, including having to teach myself. I believe these experiences and the values I've cultivated are crucial in guiding students through their own academic paths. I offer personalized content tailored to each student's needs, whether it's in English, Business, History, French (for beginners), or Math. Additionally, I have access to a wealth of resources from my educational journey, which will be invaluable to my students. As a tutor and a life coach rolled into one, I aim not just to improve your academic skills but also to instill a mindset of resilience and self-growth. I understand the unique pressures and challenges faced by students today.
