I have been teaching for 16 years. I am currently head of department and head of year. I have a passion for education and pride myself on being able to simplify key concepts and ideas in order to help students make good progress.
I have taught GCSE Psychology, GCSE Religious studious, key stage 3 history and Geography. I have also been an examiner for both GCSE Psychology and GCSE RE.
My understanding of exam board requirements give me a clear ability to identify and focus my teaching on specific concepts and ideas relevant to exams. I can also simplify concepts and ideas to ensure that each student makes clear and obvious process.
I offer online sessions in GCSE Biology, English and history. My lessons are tailored to the individual, so my students can learn the way they learn best.

Currently, I am the Head of History in a West Sussex independent school with experience of OCR & AQA A-Level as well as Pearson Edexcel GCSE. Our departments results are outstanding and my personal track record is excellent.
I aim to combine academic rigiour and knowledge with a deep passion for the subject in order to deliver effective and enjoyable lessons. Lessons are tailored towards the student and towards their specific exam board. I aim to identify topic areas of difficulty with a questionaire before the first lesson to ensure our sessions complement school teaching.

Having graduated with a 2:1 from The University of Edinburgh in 2023, I have since been managing my own jewellery business, but am missing the vocational aspect of teaching and coaching, something I learned to love when working at a prep school.
