What we do at Tutortoo
Tutortoo was started by two former teachers who have left the teaching profession but still love teaching. Our combined experience of 35 years within teaching covers primary through to degree level and, in addition to the main subjects we supply tuition for, we have a range of experience with students with special educational needs and English as an additional language.

We treat every student as an individual and we care passionately about helping them reach their full academic potential. We value the need for building a student’s confidence and helping them to engage successfully with the subject being tutored. We personalise our whole service to meet the academic needs of all our students and their families.
Our aims
When students enrol with us they are often really struggling and their parents don’t always know how to help them. From the first meeting we have with the student and their family, we take steps to address the way the student is feeling and help change their perspective and gain some positivity.

Bridging British Education Virtual Academy (BBEVA) is affiliated with Double Wings International Ltd. The company was founded in Hong Kong in 2015, and started the programme Bridging British Education Virtual Academy (BBEVA) in London in 2018. The main business of Double Wings International Ltd. includes educational consultancy for candidates seeking to enter top UK independent schools and offers tuition both in specific entry courses and interview techniques which in combination will help them to be successful.
Over the years, the company has helped children from families in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, Southeast Asia, New Zealand, Australia, and many other places get into top primary and secondary independent schools in the UK.
The BBEVA programme started in 2018, with a main Central London Office. It has already established a very strong reputation enabling many overseas candidates to gain places at their first-choice school. Courses taught are based upon the UK National curriculum and fined tuned to meet the additional demands of independent school entry.

What we do
One-to-one tuition is our core business. We provide private tuition to students of all ages, either in their own homes or online, covering all primary and secondary education subjects. We also offer group tuition workshops during school holidays and weekends with the aim of giving students an intensive boost to learning or to prepare for exams. In addition to our core offering, we also work with other agencies, such as schools, and we provide tutors who specialise in helping students with dyslexia, autism or other special educational needs.
