Science Clinic Private Tutors was founded in 2010. Our vision was to help struggling children understand the concepts of the major subjects which are sought after by many colleges & universities. Our tutoring was mainly in the main subjects (Maths, all 3 Sciences & English Language) to exam students only. Because of the huge demand of tutoring in all year groups, we now teach students across the board from Primary (KS1 & KS2) through to GCSE, A-level and University. We were luck to have had colleagues we share the same vision with join us. Now we can teach all subjects from Primary through to GCSE, College /A-levels and Science & Maths at University level. All our teachers / tutors are graduates and qualified teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who understand the National Curriculum. Some of them are examiners at GCSE and A-level, which means they know the exam techniques students need to answer the exam questions properly and get better grades. Within the team, we have professionals with very high qualifications ie Masters Degrees (MSc / MA) and PhDs in various subjects. We can, therefore, be confident to say we are professionals who are dedicated to what we do with proven records in the UK’s most entrance and national exams. We are a tutoring organisation that is defined by its professionalism. Our aim is to provide a personal service. This makes us very different from most tutoring companies that just offer a platform for tutors and students to meet. We speak to clients so that we can match them with the most appropriate tutor for their needs. When this happens, the results can be remarkable & confidence grows. We personally know all our tutors and all have had DBS checks and their qualifications checked before we take them on. We are also a member of The Tutors’ Association (TTA) which was formed in 2013 to provide standards to the tutoring industry.

I have 5 years experience of tutoring and currently work as a Physics/Combined Science teacher at a secondary school in London. I have extensive knowledge of Edexcel/AQA/OCR and other exam boards, including the special exam arrangements for this year's exams. I have also taught Maths to GCSE level.
I have worked in a primary school as a teaching assistant in the past and currently assist in my churches children's church, the experience I have teaching children I want to use for a job as it was a hobby and something I have always enjoyed doing, I'd love to help as many students as I can will their science as tutoring helped me in primary school.

I hold an Honours degree in Chemical and Processing Engineering, which has provided me with a strong foundation in the field of science and mathematics. Additionally, I possess a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a specialization in Mathematics and Science. This combination of academic qualifications equips me with a solid understanding of the subjects I intend to teach.
With over five years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of instructing students at various educational levels. My expertise lies in teaching Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Science to students in Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. During my teaching career, I have developed a passion for fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment that promotes critical thinking and encourages students to explore the world of science and mathematics.
My teaching philosophy centres around creating a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel motivated to excel and ask questions. I am dedicated to helping students not only understand complex concepts but also develop a genuine interest in the subjects I teach
I enjoy working creatively with children and I am aware of the different mind friendly learning techniques that can be used to facilitate effective learning. I incorporate these techniques into my lessons. I believe that children need a firm foundation in basic literacy and numeracy skills in order to be able to flourish in other areas of the curriculum. I understand that continuity and progression in learning is vital and my planning and teaching reflect this.
I have great experience teaching within the class setting and tutoring, both online and face to face, teaching a whole class, small groups and 1:1. I started my teaching career working as a reception class teacher, teaching 4 year olds, a role with a huge amount of responsibility, providing a nurturing, caring environment whilst also providing a love of learning. Since then I have taught in years 1 to 4, teaching maths, English, science, history, geography, art and personal, social and health care. Due to the covid pandemic and school closures I taught for several months online, teaching the class as a whole, in small groups and some one to one sessions also. Following on from successful tutoring of one family they offered me the position of nanny/tutor and for the past 2 years I have been a nanny for a family of 5 children, teaching the eldest 4 on a daily basis. Due to a chenge in my own family circumstances I am no longer able to offer the overnight and weekend hours that they desire so am seeking a new challenge of online tutoring. I am professional, reliable and passionate about teaching. Tutoring enables lessons to be not only specific to an individual child's needs but also specific to their interests, making learning more interesting and creating an enthusiasm and pride for the child, taking ownership of their achievements.
