I have won three awards for excellence and a superb tutor. In addition, I have successfully employed various teaching approach/ strategy when teaching and found that this led to many positive student outcomes, such as students getting A grades in A level Maths and Further Maths. I have experience in teaching KS2,11+, KS3, GCSE, IGCSE, IB and A Level maths online and face-to-face. I have worked as an examiner with various exam boards such as: Edexcel and AQA. I have worked as an examination officer and I entered students for WJEC, OCR, AQA, Edexcel and City and Guilds exams using SIMS.
I encourage learning by using different manipulatives, hands-on activities and technology. I utilise weekly tests to track students progress, locate areas of weakness and prepare students for final exams.
Being a versatile individual, I have had the opportunity to teach students who functioned below-, on- and above target grade. I have been very successful at accommodating diverse students needs by facilitating all styles of learners, offering individualised and integrating effective materials.

My approach is highly adaptable, tailored to accommodate the unique learning styles of each student. I believe in fostering understanding through clear, concise explanations, followed by structured problem-solving sessions to reinforce their understanding.

I always take a student-centered approach to teaching by asking students to bring their notes and talk me through the topics they feel are most difficult. My aim as your tutor would be to identify your strengths and weaknesses and build upon these appropriately. I would incorporate past paper questions very early in the curriculum to assess how well a child can apply their knowledge to answering exam questions. This will ensure that by the time the exams are sat the student will be fully prepared.

After graduating with an honours degree in Mathematics, Zahra entered the hedge fund world where she studied for CIMA and CFA qualifications. During that time she also taught on a voluntary basis, before deciding to pursue teaching full time. She is a supportive and friendly teacher, who has taught GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics for over 10 years.
As well as teaching maths, Zahra is also responsible for the delivery of the Medical Programme designed for students applying for medicine, dentistry or veterinary science and specialises in training students for the UKCAT and BMAT exams.
I can teach Maths and Chemistry from KS2 to A level. I have been teaching since 1989. I have retired few years back from full time teaching.
A dedicated and empathetic mathematics teacher with sixteen years of experience in Hong Kong and one year of experience in the UK. I have been teaching and tutoring for the past 24+ years. I teach Maths, Additional Maths and Level 2 Further Maths in KS4 and Maths and Further Maths at A level. I have tutored GCSE and A level students from AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards and have had great results always. I am also an examiner with AQA, Edexcel, Cambridge International and OCR examination boards for both GCSE and A Level. The best part of my job is making Maths enjoyable and accessible to my students. It is hugely rewarding when your students achieve their potential grades and progress to the next stage of their academic life. I am very passionate about my subject. Before teaching, I worked as a Senior Analyst Programmer in a Software house specialising in Banking software. A very experienced tutor who has taught in secondary schools and colleges. I was a former IT trainer for the NHS specialising in Electronic Patient Records (EPR) as well as the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Most recently, I have been teahing GCSE maths and GCSE biology at a local college to me. Most of my students have received high grades (4 and above) in their examinations. In addition, I have taught GCSE Physics, Chemistry and Biology as separate subjects as well as GCSE Combined Science. As far as A levels are concerned, I have A very experience tutor who has taught in secondary schools and colleges. I am an award-winning and highly experienced "super" tutor and academic coach with over 15 years of tutoring, teaching and coaching experience, during which period I have made multiple students become university toppers and world prize winners. As for my own qualifications, I have a First Class Honours degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Doctorate in Engineering (Expertise: High-fidelity numerical simulations). As an undergraduate student at university, I was ranked number 1 with a cumulative average of 84%, for which I was honoured as the `Top Engineering Graduate`. Currently, I have many students at various UK institutions and institutions overseas, ranging from Cambridge University and Imperial College (London) to IE School of Architecture (Madrid). These students have been very happy to work with me because they are being prepared to reach their highest potential, and this is somewhat evident from the fact that they typically acquire the highest marks in their class / cohort. Of the hundreds of students that I have tutored / coached over the past 15 years, almost all acquired the best possible grade and none has ever got a grade lower than a B, despite the spread in the aptitudes and circumstances of incoming students. I believe this is a phenomenal tutoring record and I have been working hard to keep my standard of tutoring at its highest level.
