I taught French and German for 30 years in London secondary schools before taking early retirement in July 2022. Since then, I have been offering private tuition in French, German and EAL at all levels.

I have access to the most up to date materials and resources needed to successfully deliver GCSE, IGCSE, A level and IB tuition in both French and German.
I have marked GCSE exams for both AQA and Edexcel so understand what is required to succeed in MFL public exams.

I am a fully qualified French native teacher, with over 12 years experience teaching in an outstanding London school and tutoring. I have also worked as an AQA examiner and I have a master's degree with a teaching French as a foreign language specialism and a PGCE.
I specialise in teaching Y10 and Y11 (KS4) as well as Y12 and Y13 (KS5). I can help students prepare efficiently for their French exams (IGCSE, GCSE, Alevel).
I teach via skype/zoom.

NHS Doctor with over 10 years of experience studying and completing exams and over 7 years teaching Maths, Biology and Chemistry for KS3, GCSE and A Level. My tuition approach is listed below.
Each lesson begins with a run-through of the topic and explanation of key concepts with opportunities for pupils to ask questions. Students are then provided with high yield exam questions and worksheets to complete. Questions are then marked together to highlight areas of strength and areas of improvement. An emphasis is always maintained on exam technique during each lesson. Assessments to determine student improvement are provided every 4-6 weeks.
All students are taught how to study effectively using two evidence-based study techniques:
1) Active Recall - Here students create useful revision questions to test their memory of certain topics
2) Spaced Repetition - Here students are taught how to strategically review topics regularly and boost their chances of remembering important exam content throughout the year and leading up to exams.
My classes are always tailored with a personalised programme for each and every student and remain friendly and engaging. All resources including specialised notes for each exam board, revision questions and exam question related to the tutees exam board are provided free of charge. Tuition goes beyond the `hour slot` as students are able to contact me via phone, email and tutor hunt messaging. I also remain engaged with the lesson and do not `clock-watch`.

My degree in Mathematics and Statistics indicates an appropriate level of subject proficiency, which has been consolidated and extended throughout my teaching career. At KS4 & KS5, I consistently organise extensive revision classes during the Easter holidays and half-term breaks to help students to achieve their full potential in Mathematics. I introduced the early GCSE Maths entry at Dunraven for the very able and facilitated stretching the most able students further by doing an extra GCSE in Statistics and Additional Maths. This has proved to be very successful, making the Maths Department one of the strongest at Dunraven.
My contribution to wider school activities include: the role of Form Tutor, organising assemblies, educational visits and Activity Week events, which included making a short film with the students which was subsequently broadcast on Zee television. Acting as an Ed-Excel GCSE Examiner for the past five years has also been very beneficial to both students and the department. I also acted as an Examiner for the GCSE Urdu & Hindi Oral examinations. My work has been recognised and covered by a number of specialist teaching magazines as well as the BBC. Specifically, such product has covered my classroom practice, encouraging undergraduates to join the teaching profession.
