When I came to the UK, I was a French conversation assistant for A level French at the Coopers Company and Coborn School in Upminster (10 years). I then decided to qualify as a teacher. I am a qualified and experienced native French speaker (from Belgium) and I hold QTS and PGCE. I have been teaching all levels (KS3, GCSE, A level). I tailor my lessons to the learner`s objectives and needs, always starting at each person`s level. I am very caring and approachable and will always aim at developing the learner`s confidence. I am convinced that if the learner feels confident, comfortable and relaxed, learning will be at its best. I am currently a full-time highly specialised KS3 and GCSE French and Spanish private tutor. I have extensive knowledge of both Edexcel and AQA exam boards. My previous experience includes working as a KS3 and GCSE language teaching assistant at an outstanding Ofsted rated secondary school in Upminster, Essex. My role encompassed a wide range of teaching activities from 1 to 1 tuition to aiding teachers in the classroom environment. Now my specialism is 1 to 1 online and face-to-face tuition and have been offering private lessons for 15 years. In the last few years I have created a wealth of additional interactive GCSE resources to meet the growing demand for online lessons. Each one of them is designed to put the student's knowledge to the test from one lesson to another. This focus on weekly incremental improvement has been vital for my current and past students in order to track their progress and identify areas of weakness that need to be targeted. My philosophy that emphasises this gradual process allows us to break down complex areas such as verb conjugation, advanced vocabulary and grammar into digestible and manageable pieces. As a result, the overall learning process becomes much more enjoyable which has been reflected in the overwhelming positive feedback I receive from students and parents alike. More importantly for me however, are the outstanding exam results my students achieve at GCSE level with many achieving at least 2 grades higher than their predicted grade.
I studied in France and have experience giving both french and english private lessons. I also used to work as an aupair and in a school (DBS Check). My goal is to make you or your child enjoy learning french, to make it fun, easy and help you actually understand what you're learning and not make it a chore.
My availability and my prices are both flexible and I always try to accommodate my students when needed.
I favour online classes but I can totally come to you if you're in my area (Chelmsford) or we can even organise classes outside, in a cafe or in a park when the weather is nice if that's something you'd like.

I offer french lessons from beginner level to experienced, no matter the age and expectations (whether it’s for school/exams or just if you want to learn a new language for fun). I can also offer my help with homework or any type of translation.
The first session is free because I believe it's important to first take some time to talk about your needs and expectations, evaluate your level and what I can bring you. And also just for you to decide wether you think I'm the right tutor for you.
Once we've set an objective, we can start building the perfect lesson for you. I like working with books, songs, movies and anything that can make the lesson more interactive. Doing a little bit of translation and conversing in french if your level allows it or just focusing on the basics while going at your own pace. I can also give homework in between lessons if we've agreed to. The whole point is for you to feel confident, ask as many questions as you need and progress.

I also offer english lessons and homework help mostly for kids, beginners and foreigners no matter the age and and expectations.
