French Interpreter with the British Army, deployed to Estonia in September 2021 for a 9 month tour as part of NATO's Enhanced Forward Presence Battlegroup, serving alongside the French Army as an interpreter for the 400-strong British contingent.
Studied French and Arabic at university for a four year degree in Modern Langauges. One year was spent in the northern French town of Valenciennes, near Lille. This was a town with real culture and history and allowed me to make the most of my surroundings and started my inseparable love of all things French and the French language.
More recently deployed to France as interpreter for UK's 3 Armoured Division on Exercise ORION, the largest exercise held on French territory since the Cold War.

Acquired French language proficiency over 5 years of exchange visits and business contacts with native speakers, similarly became fluent in Polish when providing English language tuition to Polish friends / work colleagues over approx. 7 years. As the holder of a Baccalaureate in Sciences and a Doctorate in Medicine, I am conversant in maths physics and chemistry up to GCSE / A level. In addition, Biology is amongst the basic topics in medical studies therefore, this subject is one of my strongest areas of expertise.
With regard to French, although I am not a French native, I am a fluent speaker as all my studies have been carried out in French, from primary school through to university. Consequently, I master French at all levels: from casual conversation to academic reports. Additionally, through my French husband and his family, I have acquired a strong familiarity with the French culture, history and customs.
I am conversant with the curriculum, through my involvement with my sons’ studies and previous tutoring. I am familiar with the different exam boards and their distinctions. I regularly check on the Internet for the latest updates on the syllabus according to each board.
