I am a highly experienced primary school teacher with over 10 years worth of subject knowledge. I have taught across the primary age range from years 1-6. I have prepared many year 6 children for the end of Key Stage Two Tests (SATs). This has been in large classes, small groups and 1:1 tutoring. All the children I have taught have made good or better progress. I am very familiar with the type of assessments that the children will take at both the end of Key Stage Two and Key Stage One. I have been a maths lead for 8 years and a reading lead for 2 years and during this time, outcomes have improved significantly. My lessons are fun and engaging and I always tailor learning to suit the needs of each individual child. I thoroughly enjoy enabling children to reach their full potential.

My name is Jayne and I have been teaching for over 30 years, mostly in higher education, but also at FE and secondary levels -I therefore have covered most if not all problems that students might face and helped them find their way out of the maze of the wonderful subject that is English - he's, help is at hand!
An initial assessment lesson will allow me to discuss your needs and concerns and formulate a plan that is best for you. I will be able to give you an idea of the number of sessions it should require to reach your desired goal . This could be anything from a single session for those just needing assistance with a one off project/essay to a course of tutorials for exams. I recommend no more than 1/2 sessions per week as many of you will have other study commitments and it's important not to stretch yourself. However- I will always give you a task or prep to do before the next session which will extend or complement your knowledge.
I encourage questions -so I am very happy for you to ask if something isn't clear or isn't working for you.
My preferred teaching method is online , including teaching files/marking. This is predominantly because I live in the back of beyond! Plus, most of my students like the convenience of attending from home .
