I am a qualified teacher with 12 years of classroom experience and over 15 years of tutoring, supporting learners from primary age through to GCSE level. I specialise in English, Science, and 11+ exam preparation, and I adapt my approach to suit each student’s unique learning style and goals.
Alongside subject tuition, I have extensive experience working with children and young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). I understand the importance of building trust, confidence, and self-belief as much as academic skills.
My sessions are structured, supportive, and tailored to help every learner feel valued and capable. Whether your child needs help catching up, preparing for exams, or boosting their confidence, I am committed to providing patient, encouraging, and effective tuition.
Please feel free to get in touch if you’d like to discuss how I can help your child reach their full potential.

Mathematics, English, and Science have always been among my strongest and most enjoyable subjects. With a First Class degree in Biomedical Science and a deep interest in education, I bring both academic knowledge and a passion for teaching to my tutoring. Science, in particular, is a subject I have studied extensively and continue to apply in my full-time role at a private histology lab in Central London.
Over the past five years, I have tutored students in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English, working with learners from Year 9 to Year 12. My students have gone on to achieve excellent results, with several securing places at top universities including Oxbridge for Maths and Physics. I also provide support for university interview preparation.
My teaching approach is highly personalised. I tailor each session to the student’s learning style, academic goals, and areas for improvement. I believe in making lessons interactive and engaging by encouraging student input and focusing on active learning strategies such as problem-solving, exam technique, and learning from mistakes rather than passive note-taking.
My tutoring journey began during my own school years, where I led weekly afterschool sessions to support younger students. This experience shaped my belief in the importance of mentorship and peer-led learning.
In addition to academic tutoring, I have also mentored students in music. I hold Grade 8 in Piano and Grade 7 in Singing, which has strengthened my communication skills and my ability to build positive, productive relationships with both students and parents.
Whether your child is preparing for GCSEs, A-levels, or university applications, I am committed to helping them build confidence, improve their skills, and reach their full potential in a supportive and structured environment.

I pride myself on my ability to identify and solve students' difficulties, helping them to 'get unstuck' and teaching them the skills they need to become independent and enthusiastic learners. No matter your starting point, I can meet you where you are at and get you where you want to be. I am used to using a variety of approaches depending on class size (individual or small group), student age, and the goals of the student. My focus is on helping my students to understand the learning process, so that they can ask the right questions and take charge of their own learning. I will provide you with resources and guidance to help you practise independently so that you can build on the progress you make in your lessons with me. I have a thorough knowledge of several exam syllabuses and can teach you the techniques you need to do well in exams, but I also want to help you set your own targets and have fun with your learning!

I've delivered over 150 hours of 1-to-1 tuition so far this year. I've had many positive reviews from students and their parents. My lessons focus mainly on exam practice, but I can also structure them more like a formal lesson if you prefer.

Hi! I'm Jacob G., a 20-year-old BA English student. Due to the pandemic, I'm currently studying remotely with the University of Lincoln. I'm in the second year of my degree and have also completed GCSEs and A-Levels in English Language and Literature.
Upon finishing my degree, I would like to go on to become an English teacher, hence providing my services as a tutor.
I can work with you and your child's current scheme of work at school to make sure that I am pushing them to achieve their own personal best, in a way that will directly transfer to their school work. As I only recently finished schooling, I'm very familiar with how it works from a students perspective, giving me empathy towards your child in the stressful run up to exams.
Please don't hesitate to message me with any questions! :)

Hello my name is Alice and I am currently studying Korean and Global development at SOAS University. I offer 11+:, GCSE and A-Level tutoring services for English and Geography students as well as Korean learning services for beginners and standard learners.
I have taught both A-Level and GCSE students online and in person over the past 3 years, because of this I believe that my teaching abilities are trustworthy and provide in-depth knowledge and resources to students. As someone who is currently studying a strand of Human Geography at a deeper level I believe I have the knowledge and experience to provide good quality lessons to students and that my ability to organise effective tasks and resources for students have helped in the past. Furthermore, students who chose to take lessons from me will be provided with a learning structure that will map out their targets and goals within the subject in order to achieve their desired grade. This will also entail further revision resources outside of our lessons that will be provided with feedback from myself when completed in order to track their progress.
Students who book a trial with me will receive 1 to 1 discussions about their goals and the method in which we can achieve their desired goals. Should a lesson be booked after the trial we will then look into topics to focus on their weaknesses and strengths which will be paired alongside revision resources to enhance topics we covered within the lesson. To book a trial with me please check my availability so we can discuss your goals for this subject. If you have any queries about my availability then please contact me and I will reply as soon as possible.

I am a qualified primary school teacher with over 16 years of experience in education and over six years experience Tutoring. I offer bespoke sessions that are tailored to meet the individuals needs. I have lots of experience working with children with SEND and have a particular passion for early years and inclusion.
I plan, prepare and deliver sessions that are fun and engaging in order to support the development of all areas learning within the primary curriculum. For younger children and those with SEND I often find that their focus is better if a session incorporates some physical activity and frequently build learning through games in for these children.

I studied in France and have experience giving both french and english private lessons. I also used to work as an aupair and in a school (DBS Check). My goal is to make you or your child enjoy learning french, to make it fun, easy and help you actually understand what you're learning and not make it a chore.
My availability and my prices are both flexible and I always try to accommodate my students when needed.
I favour online classes but I can totally come to you if you're in my area (Chelmsford) or we can even organise classes outside, in a cafe or in a park when the weather is nice if that's something you'd like.
What I can offer :
- French lessons
I offer french lessons from beginner level to experienced, no matter the age and expectations (whether it’s for school/exams or just if you want to learn a new language for fun). I can also offer my help with homework or any type of translation.
The first session is free because I believe it's important to first take some time to talk about your needs and expectations, evaluate your level and what I can bring you. And also just for you to decide wether you think I'm the right tutor for you.
Once we've set an objective, we can start building the perfect lesson for you. I like working with books, songs, movies and anything that can make the lesson more interactive. Doing a little bit of translation and conversing in french if your level allows it or just focusing on the basics while going at your own pace. I can also give homework in between lessons if we've agreed to. The whole point is for you to feel confident, ask as many questions as you need and progress.
- English lessons
I also offer english lessons and homework help mostly for kids, beginners and foreigners no matter the age and and expectations.
Everything else concerning the lessons is the exact same!
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
À bientôt !

I have a passion for tutoring kids. Even when I was in high school I used to tutor children 1:1 in helping them gain their confidence in speaking, reading and writing English proficiently. I have experience in tutoring IELTS to non-native English speakers and I am patient which I believe is an important quality to have. I study sociology which I believe will give me an upper hand as I can understand the psyche of the child I would be tutoring and how I can better tailor lessons to their suitability.
