For the last 4 years, I have taught French toa wide range of students with a great variety of backgrounds. Having helped and trained many students I am convinced that my passion will benefit your learning.

Another example would be, creating a medium-term plan “Earth's Unleashed” topic which entailed Geography, History, and Science cross-curricular lessons to investigate how and why human disasters happen. From the onset, immersing these topics help to bring them to life for the children but it also teaches the classes respect and provides an excellent opportunity to develop a new and very effective behaviour management strategy, ‘teamwork’. When planning and delivering the “Earth’s Unleased” topic, I introduced visual photos and related the lesson focus on Art when painting, using an array of coloured pencils and a variety of resources, such as sponges and cotton wool. At this point in my training, I gained further experience in planning and delivering lessons that are imaginative and creative, aiming to encourage engagement from all learners.
I understand the importance of assessment and use both a range of assessment strategies from observations in schools, as well as formulating my own. In every lesson that I teach, I use a range of formative assessment strategies, including thumbs-up, peer marking, and questioning, supported with verbal and written feedback. During my most recent placement, my mentor regularly highlighted that verbal feedback is one of my biggest strengths, along with Maths. I am fascinated by how children learn and what they are learning. I find dialogue to be a highly effective method of assessment, as when discussing in pairs or groups I can identify any misconceptions and address them, acknowledge their interpretation, and help secure their cognition for life-long learning.
I find it immensely informative to track pupils' progress after every lesson. This enables me to identify the most appropriate pedagogy to enable their cognition to develop further. Throughout my career in education to date, I have acknowledged that teaching needs to be adapted either every day or during the actual lesson, for children to acknowledge and understand the concepts. However, I use both formative and summative assessment to directly inform my planning, as time is valuable.

My name is Christine Borg. I grew up in a small island where my education led me to a Bachelor’s degree in General Medical Studies. However, the artistic fibre in me eventually took me to London to study Drama and in 2017, I graduated with a Master’s degree from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
I returned to my family and pursued my other life interests: dogs, target shooting, and SCUBA diving amongst other things. I had to earn a living besides trying to put into practice my Acting career. I managed to balance work and getting some experience in Theatre, TV, film, Radio voice overs and singing.
The best balance of work and satisfaction came through teaching but, after Summer 2019 my life brought me back to the UK, where I now live. I took the first good job that came along, solely to earn my living.
However, I want my work be worthwhile besides being my financial income. Satisfaction in my job is of the utmost importance to me, and I believe I can achieve this through teaching.

Rather than have to cancel you offered us online lessons which I was happy to accept, but to be honest a little sceptical. I shouldn’t have been. Tutoring Experience
I'm a Qualified Primary Teacher and have over 7 years classroom experience, I have worked with a wide range of students including those with special educational needs. I have been tutoring since 2018 originally both Face to Face and Online, but since March 2020 I now offer online tuition only which I have found to be most effective for students of all ages. I offer bespoke lessons always tailored the level of work covered to the individual student’s needs. To develop both their self-confidence and attainment levels.
I offer Online 1:1 tuition and tuition classes for up to 6 students Online.
Tutoring Approach
I offer a Free Half Hour Consultation - For you and your child! So you can see how online tuition works, my methods and the software used. Also to enable you to ask any questions and discuss your needs, requirements and expectations.
During the first lesson, I assess your child's needs through activities and discussion with yourself and your child. I tailor lessons to the child's needs and to reflect their interests, I like to include games and practical activities whenever possible. I continually assess progress to determine the next steps in their learning.
Taught as a substitute TA and as a tutor for Maths English and Science. Sat A Level chemistry physics and literature and now study architecture.
