I am a qualified primary school teacher with over 16 years of experience in education and over six years experience Tutoring. I offer bespoke sessions that are tailored to meet the individuals needs. I am passionate about teaching and education, and have recently achieved a Masters with Distinction in Teaching and Learning from University of Herts, as well as completing a Primary Education degree in 2013. I lead Primary English and am in my eighth year of teaching, currently with Year 5/6.
I have been teaching for 8 years and am currently teaching full-time in a mixed Year 5/6 class for a fourth year, I have also taught in Year 3 and 4. I have a 2:1 in Primary Education from Winchester University as well as an MA Distinction in Teaching and Learning from the University of Hertfordshire.
I have a very good knowledge of the primary curriculum and expectations for each Key Stage. Being the English lead at school means I also have a good knowledge of teaching phonics and reading/writing across the age groups, however I am also extremely confident in teaching Maths. I can be flexible in teaching either primary aged children or those in their beginning years of secondary school.

I enjoy working creatively with children and I am aware of the different mind friendly learning techniques that can be used to facilitate effective learning.
