I am currently studying psychology at University of Birmingham; I will graduate summer 2025. I also volunteer as a Peer Assisted Study Session (PASS) leader every week at university. This entails helping first year students with psychology coursework. I have enjoyed this role thoroughly as it’s rewarding to provide students with extra support and participate in teaching a subject I find interesting.
Alongside university, I work part time as a teaching assistant in an array of SEN schools in the West Midlands. I have a lot of experience with children with Autism, ADHD and ASD, as well as working with children with a range of more complex needs. As well as supporting classwork, I often resolve disputes in the classroom by listening to the students’ needs and aid in coming to a solution with them. My current teaching job made me realise I have a passion for working with students of all ages and capabilities. Therefore, I am intending to apply for a teaching degree once I have completed my Bachelor’s. Becoming a teacher is something I am passionate about as I have loved being able to help children throughout their academic journey.
I have found the best way to build an effective student-teacher relationship is by being able to create an enjoyable learning atmosphere. It is important students see their teacher as someone they can talk to as this helps build confidence in and out of the classroom. Each student has different capabilities and personalities, so I tailor my teaching style and go at a pace that suits them. I have found this very effective with many of the students I currently work with as it creates a fun and positive working environment. As I am currently a student, I am aware that learning new subjects and balancing different classes can cause stress. Therefore, I make it my mission to help my students however I can by creating fun and engaging lessons. I would love to be able to provide tuition for students of all ages and capabilities as I have personally received the benefits of having a passionate teacher.

Hello!
I have worked in a small SEN school for the past six years as an English lead, delivering the KS2 - KS4 curriculum to my students. Over the past year, I have progressed within my role and become the Centre Manager within the Senior Leadership Team. Whilst working at my current school, I have become a Designated Safeguarding Lead and Safer Recruitment Trained. I am responsible for writing and reviewing the school's policies, managing the staff team and ensuring the school and teachers comply to government legislation.
I enjoy teaching and am passionate about ensuring the child fully understands the context of the lesson - I am willing to provide homework and extra tasks to support them.
Having worked in a SEN school, I can adapt my teaching style to suit the needs of the child and will always promote a positive wellbeing throughout the lessons.

With a decade of teaching experience and the acquisition of an Ancient Cultures degree, I am deeply committed to the exploration of novel educational perspectives and the in-depth examination of pedagogical psychology. My profound love for the pursuit of knowledge, coupled with an insatiable appetite for inquiry and comprehension, serves as the bedrock of my teaching philosophy. My utmost aspiration is to share the wealth of knowledge acquired over my years of academic and professional growth and to infuse my students with an enduring enthusiasm for the subjects at hand.
In addition to my pedagogical endeavours, my fervent passions extend to the realms of music, theatre, literature, as well as a profound intrigue for history, culture, and languages. The desire to seamlessly amalgamate these fervours with my career path has been the impetus behind my decision to pursue certifications in certTESOL and dipTESOL.
Moreover, I am particularly thrilled by the prospect of engaging with students hailing from diverse corners of the globe. The opportunity to collaborate with individuals from various cultural backgrounds not only enriches the learning experience but also underscores my commitment to fostering a global perspective in education.
In essence, my extensive teaching background, coupled with my academic qualifications and eclectic interests, converge to form a compelling foundation for my pedagogical journey. My unwavering dedication to igniting the flame of curiosity in my students and to cultivate a deep appreciation for the world's manifold knowledge and expression remains the driving force behind my educational endeavours.

In my tutoring practice, I firmly believe in the power of personalisation. I understand that each of my students is a unique individual with their distinct personalities, motivations, and learning styles. Given my relatively young age, I find it effortless to connect with my students, and my contagious enthusiasm for mathematics and teaching often inspires them. I take the time to get to know my students during our lessons, which not only helps build a strong rapport but also clarifies my role as a tutor. They understand that I'm there to guide, support, and assist them in their learning journey. My teaching methodology avoids spoon-feeding students. Instead, I first provide them with a solid understanding of the theory behind a new method or concept. Then, I challenge them to teach the topic back to me as we work through a related problem together. This approach ensures that the student comprehends the topic thoroughly and can confidently navigate the associated steps. Praise and encouragement are essential elements of my teaching style. I firmly believe in acknowledging and motivating students throughout the lesson, fostering a positive and empowering learning environment. Furthermore, I maintain regular communication with the students' parents to provide them with updates on their child's progress. This collaborative approach helps me better understand and support the student's needs. In summary, my tutoring philosophy revolves around personalised instruction, building rapport, fostering understanding through active teaching, and creating a positive learning atmosphere through praise and encouragement. My commitment extends to involving parents in the learning journey to ensure the best possible support for the students I work with.

I am caring, nurturing teacher who is committed to making a difference to children’s lives and education. I love the make children feel comfortable and show them how they can achieve something new everyday. I believe that hard work pays off and I am here to make a difference to support children through little and big achievements. I love teaching English and Maths and would be delighted to help your child progress further in these subjects. In particular, I love practically working with children in Maths, showing how we can use visual household resources to help us with working things out! With English, I love showing children how creative we can be, including lot of different skills in writing! Learning should be fun and enjoyable and as a tutor I am here to help while making sure children are having a happy time.

As a former A-Level student, and a young person myself, I recognise the importance of teaching and helping others on a level that all students can understand, thus having a greater impact on the academic achievement of any person. I have a passion for education growth which is supported by my work with the LetHerLearn scheme, which is why helping young people to achieve their best through academics is so important to me. Whilst academics is highly regarded, my passion and talent in Ballroom, Latin and Street dancing, achieving grades from highly commended to distinction, is also something I enjoy helping others learn.

I'm a Loughborough University student with experience as a personal tutor, assistant teacher and online tutor, teaching KS1, KS2, KS3 and GCSE subjects. If you're looking for relaxed sessions to achieve all your academic goals you're at the right place :)
- Previous experience at multiple private tutoring centres, working with different age groups. These teaching experiences provided me with training to relate to and empathise with individuals I work with.
- Can provide virtual or in-person lessons, depending on your preferences / schedule.
- I tailor my lessons to cater to students' individuals needs / goals, working one-on-one to build up confidence by tackling areas of weaknesses.
- International background - where I was born, where I'm from, where I grew up and where I live are all different places, so I'm fluent in English, Arabic, French and currently learning Spanish, meaning I consider students' cultural contexts to optimise our communication.
- Been through the rollercoaster of academia - I understand the stress that comes with it, so I can team up with students to target the areas that they would like the most support in, making their educational journey a more enjoyable one.

My Batchelor of Education degree, continued professional development, over twenty years teaching experience, and leadership roles has given me many skills, experience, ability and confidence. . The experiences that I am proudest of are:
v Working with a group of Year 6 children, giving them the confidence to voice their opinions, to believe in themselves and to support them so that they attained better in their SATs.
v Developing my own practice through CPD and wider reading in order to be recognised by head teachers, school improvement advisors and Ofsted as an excellent teacher. I have then used this to support and develop skills and knowledge of experienced staff, recently qualified staff and newly qualified teachers. .
v Improving Key Stage 2 SATs results in all subjects over three years with outcomes being above national.
