I am an experienced tutor who has been teaching English to students for over ten years. I specialise in KS3 and GCSE however also have many KS2 and A-Level students, too. I am very familiar with the different exam boards, specifically Edexcel, AQA and OCR. I an NTP qualified tutor with a fully enhanced DBS. I work closely with various agencies and councils, and local high schools in Nottingham, tutoring students individually and in groups. I am an educator with nearly 15 years experience of teaching people from all ages and backgrounds in a variety of settings, both formal and informal. I am a specialist history teacher with experience of teaching from Years 4 to 13, but I have also taught RS and geography curriculums. I am a qualified SENCO, who has a CPT3A qualification in psychometric testing and exam access arrangements. I have a particular interest in supporting people who have additional learning needs and / or are from a disadvantaged background to reach their potential. With this in mind, I also tutor GCSE English to students with SEND, including students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dysgraphia.
My main experience is in KS2 (Years 4, 5 and 6) but am qualified for the whole Primary age range, 5- 11 years. In my experience as a Teacher, I have taught children with Dyslexia, children with Autism, children with Aspergers, children with social and emotional needs and looked after children.
