TEACHING QUALITIES
I chose to start a teaching career as I wanted a new challenge in life as I had been working in an office environment for many years. I took the CELTA course in Brighton, England with a view to teaching abroad and was greatly encouraged by the feedback from the instructor and fellow students during the course. In the classroom I am very patient and genuinely want to see my students improve. I can adapt to students of different ages and personalities and realise that a sense of humour in the classroom goes a long way.

I am an 20-year-old student, currently completing my Bachelors in Neuroscince at the University of Sussex and looking to expand my experience in tutoring. I have tutored before and have good experience in working with children from ages 5-13. My former students have expressed an improved level of knowledge and seen better results in school. I am friendly and easy to talk to and enjoy helping children through tutoring and aiding in the understanding of their core concepts which they can then build on. I have experience in a primary school and private tutoring which allows me to cater my behvaiour and form of teaching specifically to the child in order to create the best environment for them to learn in.

An experienced GCSE examiner, I know exactly how to tackle each question for the English Lang and Lit examinations. I have successfully prepared A-Level students to sit (and achieve an interview in) the Oxbridge ELAT test and my A-Level Literature, Language and Literature students have all achieved their target grades or higher. I am a fully qualified English Teacher with 12 years experience working in a secondary school. In my career I have progressed to the Senior Leadership Team as an Asistant Head Teacher and have a comprehensive background in pastoral care and behaviour management. As a teacher I have been responsible for GCSE and A level exam groups working succesfully with students at all levels of attainment.
