I am an enthusiastic and dedicated English tutor, examiner and writer. I offer stimulating and enjoyable lessons via video call which build upon each student's strengths to enable them to overcome their difficulties with greater confidence. I find tutoring immensely rewarding and strive to help all my students meet their full potential regardless of their ability. I have experience teaching SEN students, particularly those with autism, dyslexia and manual difficulties. To date I have had 100% pass rate and all of my students have achieved grades 9-4 (A*- C). I am a member of the Tutors Association and have a current DBS Enhanced certificate .
I understand fully the advantages and disadvantages of studying from home as I have gained all of my qualifications through distance learning, including my PhD. I also home schooled my son from the age of 4-16. I have been a judge of the BBC Radio 2 '500 Words' children's short story competition and a volunteer for the National Literacy Trust's "Summer Reading Challenge" for children. I have a research interest in Thomas Hardy and write poetry and English study guides.

With all my years of teaching English, I learnt very quickly that each student is different. The purpose for why someone learns English can equally vary from student to student.
With that said my lessons are always tailored to the students individual needs. What is a constant and essentially the driving force to any of my lessons is the dynamic, engaging, creative and most important of all the fun factor. For any student that enjoys and looks forward to their class is a student that is destined to learn more.
Whether a student is learning English to pass their IELTS so they can study in the UK. Perhaps it could be Business English for any person that is involved in an International company or is looking to establish themselves in a particular industry that would require a desired level of English. Hi, my name is Nicole and I am currently studying at Cirencester Specialist Sixth Form College. I am taking English Lang/Lit for A-Levels and I also received a 7 for English Lang and a 6 in English Literature at Secondary. I have a younger sister who struggles with dyslexia and I have been tutoring her ever since she was young and she has since then achieved a 6 at a primary school level despite her learning difficulties.
