I have a holistic approach and believe good music teaching should involve playing, listening, analysing and creating (composition). After a first class BA in music and a PGCE that specialised in instrumental teaching, I have taught continuously in Devon schools and privately at home for over thirty years.
I offer relaxed lessons to all ages, primary to adult. I believe in an individual approach, following your interests, providing materials to suit, and sharing your love of music. As a performer, I have experience of classical, jazz, folk, pop, soul and rock, and I teach improvisation and ear skills alongside reading. I am fully familiar with the music curriculum and often support it in my lessons. I also offer a full external exam service where appropriate, using the Trinity College syllabus.

Hey, My name is Jack, I have played guitar for over 5 years and have studied at all levels in music from GCSE-University. I have performed at various venues such as the Globe theatre in Cardiff, I look forward to teaching anyone guitar lessons.
I studied at The Birmingham School of Music and the Guildhall, London where I graduated in vocal studies and Music Therapy respectively. I am a qualified teacher and have worked in various schools across the East Midlands both as a teacher and a Music Therapist. I work as an arranger for a number of acapella groups both in the folk and gospel industry. I perform regularly both in churches and small venues as a multi-instrumentalist, conductor and singer.

Hi - I'm Nic S. and I've dedicated most of my life to music. If you're passionate about music, I'd really love to help you improve your skills, and develop your creativity. My first instrument (Which I've studied to degree level) is guitar, and I consider this instrument my 'Home base'. Music is more than just 'playing guitar' though, so I'm also open to teaching music theory, composition, songwriting, production, engineering as well as mixing and mastering. I don't work to a curriculum, and I don't teach grades (Unless it's what a student wants). Whatever you're struggling with is what we'll focus on, and the music that excites you is the music we'll be learning about! I'm here to teach you, for you. London-based Slovenian violinist and composer Katarina K. (born 1993) recently graduated in BMus Composition with a first class honours, and in MMus Performance with distinction. In May 2016 she also gained the Fellowship of the London College of Music award and received the Mona Blackman Scholarship.
Katarina began learning the violin at the age of six and has performed with many different musicians and orchestras all around Europe and Minnesota, USA. She has attended masterclasses and festivals as an active participant with world’s leading professors and won several prizes at international competitions.
Besides being an active concert violinist and performing as first violin in the Belgard String Quartet, she is pursuing a career in film composition, and in violin teaching. Her performance venues include some of the main Slovenian concert halls, as well as St. Barnabas Church in Ealing, Acton Hill Church, Cadogan Hall in London, Tower Bridge Walkways, and performances within the Ealing Film and Music Festival.
As a composer, Katarina’s pieces have been performed by LCM students, the LCM String Ensemble, and in January 2015 her piece ‘The Sixth Element’ for string orchestra was performed at the Gala Concert of the Crescendo Music Festival in Florida. Her piece ‘Tunisian Crochet’, which was premiered by the Camerata orchestra, won the LCM Composition Competition. Katarina recently composed music for Melies’ film Trip to the Moon, including a large symphonic orchestra, for which she received an exceptional mark.
