I always helped my peers when I was your age and I have also been tutoring GCSE Maths and science in a college for 3 years, during which I have gained valuable experience in the teaching field. I went into the education sector and attained my PGCE and QTS through a SCITT program called GORSE SCITT. This is where I learnt the fundamentals of how to teach core subjects with efficiency and outstanding progress. I use a mix of videos and quick-fire questioning with examination prep to ensure the student can articulate their knowledge in the subject. I have experience teaching Chemistry, Physics and Biology to a GCSE level and Chemistry (A-level).

I am currently a teacher of Chemistry up to A level with specialism in AQA. I have worked at Cheadle Hulme School for over 20 years and have taken the lead in extension Chemistry classes and Oxbridge mentoring. I have tutored for many years with an excellet success rate. I believe all students can reach their maximum potential if time is taken to find the learning style best suited to them. No question is a silly question and I am happy to help even outside of teaching time where possible. I am currently a first year medical student at the University of Leeds, so I know a thing or two about working hard. It hasn’t been easy to get to this position but with the right mentorship, I believe anything is possible. My teaching style will consist of a range of learning the knowledge as well as applying it through active recall, mini tests (scores do not matter) and past paper questions which can be worked through independently as well as with me. I believe variation is key to finding the best learning style for a student as well as being aware that we all make mistakes and they are there to learn from. I have both mentorship and tutoring experience having taken part in a programme in college to help struggling GCSE students. Many of them managed to exceed their expectations and one student even jumped from a 5 in Maths to an 8 in GCSE with the right teaching methods.
