I am a graduate who has finished studying Maths with Statistics at Royal Holloway University and I have good maths and science teaching skills. I know what techniques are needed for students to thrive and to have a good learning environment. Along with that, I know what techniques are needed to answer exam questions, so that they can do really well, and for them to find their true potential, but most importantly, for students to have a positive and enthusiastic approach to learning. In terms of teaching, I can teach maths, biology and chemistry at KS3, GCSE and A levels. I teach physics at GCSE and at KS3 level. I have 3 years experience as a private tutor and I teach students in the best possible standards as possible as I am very patient and I understand students difficulties and needs and therefore allow them to succeed. I have had 3 years experience in teaching GCSE and A level subjects, which are maths, chemistry, biology and physics. I have also taught geography in the past. I have taught students in person for the past 3 years. For in person teaching, I have taught in libraries and at schools. The first lesson will be a trial lesson, just to introduce myself and also give an indication of where you are working at for your subjects, so that I can plan the lessons according to your needs further forward. At additional request, I will be able to teach Statistics and Further Maths.

After graduating with an honours degree in Mathematics, Zahra entered the hedge fund world where she studied for CIMA and CFA qualifications. During that time she also taught on a voluntary basis, before deciding to pursue teaching full time. She is a supportive and friendly teacher, who has taught GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics for over 10 years.
As well as teaching maths, Zahra is also responsible for the delivery of the Medical Programme designed for students applying for medicine, dentistry or veterinary science and specialises in training students for the UKCAT and BMAT exams.

I am Cambridge graduate.
I have been tutoring maths, physics & chemistry GCSE/ A-Level and adult learners, for over 8 years, and have helped many students improve their exam results.
I have written over 20 books too (available on kindle or in paperback), mostly maths books.
I usually visit students in their homes, but also do lessons via Whatsapp (which works great as we can have phone and laptop open at the same time and send documents). During the Corona-virus shutdown, all lessons will be done via Whatsapp with payment via bank transfer please.

My Experience and Services:
Hi, I am currently a 2nd Year Medical Student at Keele University. In addition to this, I have also obtained a biomedical sciences degree with a first class honours from St George's University of London. I am based in London and have been tutoring online for over 4 years with a 100% pass rate. I offer A level biology tuition as well as GCSE triple and combined sciences or separate sciences as required. I offer a free 45 minute free trial session to get to know the student and show my teaching style, this allows me to build a relationship with each individual and tailor my sessions to this. I love teaching children and have always prioritised their education through each session by asking them what they would like to be taught. I also make it clear that I am able to answer any queries they have about the topic outside of sessions to provide them extra support that no other tutor does. I go over and beyond to understand my students and work alongside them by sending them topic checklists and plan each session according to their weakest topics. The structure of my sessions follows this: 30 minutes of taught content and 30 minutes of exam style questions. I ensure they apply their knowledge within the session as this prepares them for any and all mock/real exams throughout the year. Moreover, I provide them with study techniques, resources and any advice that they require. I positively encourage all my students to try their hardest and strive for excellence to achieve the top grades.
A little bit about me:
I love pilates and long walks. I also am a huge baker and love to try to cook new foods in my spare time. In addition I also love to read and volunteer at my local library.
I look forward to working with your child to improve their grades.
Please do not hesitate to get in contact with me on tutor extra or my contact details if you have any queries about sessions.

I developed an interest in tutoring at a very young age. After completing my GCSE's I subscribed myself to a tuition centre where I taught KS3. After completing my A levels i went on to teach GCSE's eventually diving into A levels aswell after getting into Queen Mary University. From there on I helped many students go from their low grades of C's, D's and even E's to scoring top grades of A/A*'s, allowing them to get into their chosen universities.

Hi! My name is Camron and I have just recently finished my A-levels, going on to study Dentistry at Kings College London. I am looking to tutor students that require assistance with GSCE maths and sciences or A-level maths and chemistry. I am willing to offer first hand assistance in order to help you achieve the best grade possible and give you learning techniques that may benefit in later stages of your academic career. Being in your position until only very recently, I believe I have found some effective methods in order to learn hard parts of the syllabus and as a student myself, understand the common topics students may struggle with. This is why I have taken extra care to produce fullproof methods of learning these topics and will explain them to the best of my ability during the lesson.
I think every single student is unique, which is why I believe my bespoke advice coupled with the latest resources will allow students to maximise their progress in the subjects they require help with. From personal experience, I strongly believe the best way to retain knowledge is to ensure they have a complete understanding of it, which is why I will do my very best to make sure this is achieved.
I have also spent 12 months participating in a mentor reading programme, that has allowed me to hone my skills in communication and use them in tutoring.
I look foward to being able to use these skills, techniques and resources in order to assist students.

I have been teaching Science in the UK for the last 26 years and have tutored as well for the three years. I have been an examiner for Edexcel for the last 6 years. I have been a Head of Science. I am UK trained and qualified and have been DBS checked. I have a lot experience working with SEND students and always look to support young people to do their best. I have taught all three Sciences and Maths to GCSE and Biology to A-level for 26 years. I am passionate about my subjects and really enjoy teaching and helping my students. I have a thorough knowledge of both Edexcel and AQA for GCSE and have effectively taught for both exam boards. I have taught both OCR and Edexcel for A-level Biology. I have been an Examiner for Edexcel for GCSE Physics for the past 6 years.
I work using a variety of resources to engage students in their learning. I always strive to find what works best for your learning style.
I have been tutoring online for the last 3 years and really enjoy engaging with students using all the technologies that are now available.
Some references from parents:
"My son is currently taking his GCSEs, and I have worked with him on the content of this reference; we both want to start by saying that we cannot recommend Sharon more highly as a science tutor.
As a parent, Sharon is extremely easy to work with – our communications, whether in writing or talking, are very clear and professional but importantly also very reassuring, as you instantly feel you’re in safe and experienced hands.
Sharon was able to quickly assess my son’s gaps in learning and form a plan to cover all three science subjects. Since he has been working with Sharon, I have seen my son’s confidence grow significantly. He looks forward to the lessons (even opting to have additional ones) as he values Sharon’s extensive subject knowledge and ability to be able to explain complicated topics and concepts clearly and patiently, but also repeatedly until he feels he has a full grasp. What I value is that throughout the lessons she ensures he communicates with her, answering questions, explaining his reasoning etc. in order to constantly check his understanding rather than 'taking his word for it' before moving on.
Without Sharon’s teaching and also her practical exam guidance he would not be entering his science GCSEs with his current level of confidence. We were incredibly lucky to find Sharon as it is rare to find a tutor with Sharon’s subject knowledge and level of teaching experience."
"*** grades were: Chem=6, Bio=5, Phys=5. He would not have achieved this without your tutoring."

I have always found myself to be trustworthy, hard working and intelligent and i love teamwork. When we at worked i showed good communication skills and collective team spirit to get the job done, the company could rely on me to take the initiative and to stay calm under pressure. For these reasons, I believe I would be ideal for the job.
I'm more suitable to teach the subject because: since my secondary school have been into teaching of chemistry, I do helps my mates out through some difficult topics we are taught in class more so through out my two teaching practices courses while I was doing my degree, I taught the students secondary school chemistry, during my NYSC( Nigeria youth service corps) I taught the students secondary school chemistry and I'm familiar with the subject curriculum and the national curriculum, this give me more experience on how to teach chemistry to a suitable level for the students.
I'm skilled in using and improvising instructional materials to enhance my teaching to make the learning for suitable and interesting for the students.

I would help the student help in manyways inclusing letting their phobia go and also let the copies of data or classes can also be provided in their needs. This would help them bring the understanding on the topics so easily and also would be nowhere felt like Iam bossy. I would be their friend who is talking to them and discussing about the classes and the stuff. I am good at understanding the needs of the students so easily and would bring the comfort zone.

As an older graduate entering the teaching profession, my recent international teaching and work experience resulted in a “eureka” moment for me. Not only have I enjoyed teaching and working with children, but I have really felt a sense of importance with the improvements and progress I have been involved in. My experience teaching in schools highlighted the lack of opportunities in life that still arise from poor education and developed a sense of advocacy in me, where my experience, personality, and drive would really make a difference in the classroom.
I have gained valuable teaching experience in both selective and non-selective schools; taught in multicultural schools as well as schools where the mother tongue was not English. I have developed excellent inter- personal and communication skills in dealing with all stakeholders within a school community; proven to be innovative where necessary in problem solving, as well as having good teamwork skills. One of my greatest attributes is in communicating with parents and being able to utilize my background, experience, and contacts within the university sector to plan a progress career path for students.
As a teacher, I use my experience, practical knowledge and leadership skills gained in industry to enable me to spearhead educational improvement through being an inspirational role model for students as well as shaping their attitudes to learning at key stages 3/4/5. I would like to develop students so that they are best prepared, both socially and educationally, for the challenges they will face on leaving school in an ever increasing and more challenging environment. I endeavour to develop exciting and engaging lessons that have at the heart of them, a sense of scientific enquiry that stimulates in students, a love for science as a subject as well as a passion for learning.
I feel it is important that students have a sense of a sense of teamwork in the classroom that arises from engagement with their peers by developing an engaging, interactive dynamic approach to learning in the classroom. I feel it is important to develop, in students, the ability to think critically inside and outside the classroom and empower students through pupil participation and leadership in lessons.
I am looking for a school that I feel fits my abilities and aspirations and where I can fit and make a real difference. I am very keen to develop my teaching by commencing my PGCE at the University of Nottingham in September 2021 (and fully intend to complete an associated master’s degree in science teaching/education immediately after). I also intend to become a chartered science teacher through the RSC as soon as possible and have already commenced associated cpd courses to facilitate this.
I believe that my empathy to students, passion for science and willingness to inspire students of all abilities would make me an outstanding candidate for the position as a compassionate, enthusiastic, and intelligent teacher. I am thoroughly committed to teaching as a career and I believe that my classroom presence, personality, coupled with my subject knowledge enables me to be a highly effective teacher. the time to consider my application and I look forward to the opportunity of discussing the position in more detail.
