My specialism is A-level chemistry (all exam boards, including OCR Salters) but I also have considerable experience tutoring the sciences and maths at GCSE.
I also currently mark A-level chemistry examination scripts for an exam board.
My tutoring style is very hands on and relaxed, working with student to develop their skills, confidence and subject knowledge.

GCSE Tutoring (Chemistry, Physics, and Biology) For £25 per hour, I help students build a solid foundation in key scientific principles. We’ll work on mastering core topics, developing problem-solving skills, and preparing for exams with a focus on improving grades and understanding.
A Level Tutoring (Chemistry and Biology) For £35 per hour, I provide in-depth tutoring that challenges students to think critically and analytically about complex scientific topics. I will guide you through the intricacies of A Level content, supporting your understanding and helping you achieve top marks.

I currently work in a secondary school in the West Midlands and have been teaching all 3 disciplines for many years. I am a very experienced teacher with an excellent record of pupil acheivement. I believe that any pupil can do well and make excellent progress if they are taught not only the correct knowledge and content for the exam board but also the skills needed to answer GCSE questions in the exam. I attend exam board hub meetings regularly and keep up to date with any changes and recommendations from previous examinations. This information is crucial to pass on to pupils so that they know what the exam questions are asking and how to create a response which will score maximum marks in their examination. I am very organised and enjoy planning creative activities which ensure maximum progress for pupils.
