Teaching is my passion. My purpose in life is to create a positive environment in the world. I love to teach children and students of any age group. I have also been associated with Brahma kumaris (World Spiritual Organisation) for 7 years. I have a profound understanding of my subjects, adeptly tailor instruction to diverse learning styles, fosters a positive and inclusive classroom environment and effective communication. I also encourages critical thinking and empower students. Over the past six years, I have had the privilege of teaching a wide range of subjects to students from diverse backgrounds. This experience has honed my ability to effectively communicate complex ideas, foster a positive learning environment, and adapt my teaching methods to individual student needs. Additionally, I recently authored my first book, "One Light and the Angelic World," which has further enhanced my knowledge and passion for sharing knowledge with others. Furthermore, my association with Brahma Kumaris, a world spiritual organization, for the last seven years has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the holistic approach to education. I strongly believe in the importance of nurturing not only academic growth but also the emotional and spiritual well-being of students. In 2014 I decided to change career completely to become a science teacher, so I trained at Kings College, graduating with my PGCE in 2015.
My background prior to teaching brings additional experience and skills to my teaching. Chemistry is my specialist subject. I have taught and tutored all sciences successfully to years 7 to 11, and have taught and tutored Chemistry and Biology at A level.
I can teach Maths and Chemistry from KS2 to A level. I have been teaching since 1989. I have retired few years back from full time teaching.

Dr Atamgba A. is an accomplished university teacher with a rich interdisciplinary academic experience in Biochemistry, Food Science and Nutrition as well as Chemistry. He has taught various aspects of Biochemistry, Food Science and Nutrition, and Chemistry (both inorganic and organic). With over a decade of teaching and research, he has worked in various university environments, both public and private, across Nigeria and Uganda. Dr A. is known for his participatory teaching approach and effective use of various analytical tools. He has been an External Examiner both at the ordinary level (O-level)and university level. He also has significant industrial experience in vegetable oil and oily waste servicing industries, working in various capacities from Research and Development Chemist, overseeing the quality control unit to a Lead / Senior Operator of a Thermal Desorption Unit (TDU) plant used for the remediation of hydrocarbon-contaminated oily wastes. His Industrial experience adds practical insights to his academic expertise. His educational background includes a strong proficiency in the Russian language, gained during his studies in Ukraine. Dr A. has held various administrative roles such as Head of Department and Dean of Faculty, demonstrating his leadership and versatility in adapting to new academic trends.

We have a dedicated covid secure classroom. We have an extremely comprehensive equipment store to cover all the experiments for GCSE and A level Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics). This enables the students to take part in experiments which enhances their learning.
Since the lockdown, our response was to transition, virtually overnight, our teaching online. The tutor’s hands became the student’s hands and the cameras their eyes, the microphone and speakers became their voice and ears. With the power of a broadcast switcher, the student did not have one view but many, depending on what was needed. In addition, we decided to live stream tutorials on YouTube going through GCSE and A level Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, topic by topic, week by week utilising all our equipment for experiments. This was to develop a resource for all not just our own students.

I am fairly traditional in my approach. My previous pupils - I am recently retired - would describe me as thorough, encouraging and able to develop a strong self belief to succeed in a tricky subject.
Teaching Chemistry for 41 years has given me significant insight into the common conceptual pitfalls that hinder learning. So, first and foremost, I aim to develop a sound conceptual understanding and thereby foster tutees' confidence. Grasping Chemistry is like tackling a jig-saw puzzle: The pattern emerges when the links between the individual parts are apparent; I pride myself in enabling tutees to make these connections. Once the subject foundations are secure we move on to questions, examination technique and past papers.

Since graduating from the University or Reading in 1992, I have taught in a variety of Norfolk schools - both primary and secondary (including an American school here in the U. K.). I have a proven track record of improving pupil achievement in maths and am able to offer tailor-made tuition to meet individual pupil needs - whether the student is struggling to keep up at school, developing confidence or preparing for exams.
