If you want someone that is straight talking and with pin-point accuracy to get the job done with fun and enthusiasm, I am your person of interest. Where I work, everyone wants to be taught by me, and the students that are taught by me are the envy of others who are not.
I can make Chemistry, which is arguably the hardest subject at A-level, accessible to all in a funa nd logical manner which not only builds subject knowledge, but boosts confidence in every aspect of theor lives. I give them a 'can-do-attitude' and all my students would be the first to admit it.
With the knowledge of state and independent sector, I am equipped to deliver the highest standard and I will not settle for an average grade. I have extremely high expectations and if you think you are up to the challenge and can cope, then I am your person, as long as you follow my ways of learning.
I have knowledge of various exam boards and unlike others, I have a substantial knowledge of all major exam boards including international as well as IB boards. It's my job to know the key differences between boards so let me guide you.

Prior to teaching I have worked in life science Reasearch and Development and in Biopharamceutical research, sales and marketing. I also worked a part-time voluntary teaching assistant in primary and seconday schools for 2 years. In 2014 I decided to change career completely to become a science teacher, so I trained at Kings College, graduating with my PGCE in 2015.
My background prior to teaching brings additional experience and skills to my teaching. Chemistry is my specialist subject. I have taught and tutored all sciences successfully to years 7 to 11, and have taught and tutored Chemistry and Biology at A level.
I can teach Maths and Chemistry from KS2 to A level. I have been teaching since 1989. I have retired few years back from full time teaching.

We have a dedicated covid secure classroom. We have an extremely comprehensive equipment store to cover all the experiments for GCSE and A level Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics). This enables the students to take part in experiments which enhances their learning.
Since the lockdown, our response was to transition, virtually overnight, our teaching online. The tutor’s hands became the student’s hands and the cameras their eyes, the microphone and speakers became their voice and ears. With the power of a broadcast switcher, the student did not have one view but many, depending on what was needed. In addition, we decided to live stream tutorials on YouTube going through GCSE and A level Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, topic by topic, week by week utilising all our equipment for experiments. This was to develop a resource for all not just our own students.
I am currently the Head of Chemistry in a private school. I have over 20 years teaching experience of Chemistry in the UK in both private and public schools from GCSE to A level and have also taught in a number of international schools including Italy and Spain. I am completely famiiliar with the various Chemisty syllabi for different examination boards and have taught several students over the years who eventually went on to study Medicine, Dentistry, Chemical Engineering, Astrophysics at prestigious universities such as Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial and Kings College. I have taught privately too giving individual tuition or in small classes.

I have been teaching Science in the UK for the last 26 years and have tutored as well for the three years. I have been an examiner for Edexcel for the last 6 years. I have been a Head of Science. I am UK trained and qualified and have been DBS checked. I have a lot experience working with SEND students and always look to support young people to do their best. I have taught all three Sciences and Maths to GCSE and Biology to A-level for 26 years. I am passionate about my subjects and really enjoy teaching and helping my students.
