Prior to teaching I have worked in life science Reasearch and Development and in Biopharamceutical research, sales and marketing. I also worked a part-time voluntary teaching assistant in primary and seconday schools for 2 years. In 2014 I decided to change career completely to become a science teacher, so I trained at Kings College, graduating with my PGCE in 2015.
My background prior to teaching brings additional experience and skills to my teaching. Chemistry is my specialist subject. I have taught and tutored all sciences successfully to years 7 to 11, and have taught and tutored Chemistry and Biology at A level.

After graduating with an honours degree in Mathematics, Zahra entered the hedge fund world where she studied for CIMA and CFA qualifications. During that time she also taught on a voluntary basis, before deciding to pursue teaching full time. We have a dedicated covid secure classroom. We have an extremely comprehensive equipment store to cover all the experiments for GCSE and A level Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics). This enables the students to take part in experiments which enhances their learning.
Since the lockdown, our response was to transition, virtually overnight, our teaching online. The tutor’s hands became the student’s hands and the cameras their eyes, the microphone and speakers became their voice and ears. With the power of a broadcast switcher, the student did not have one view but many, depending on what was needed. In addition, we decided to live stream tutorials on YouTube going through GCSE and A level Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, topic by topic, week by week utilising all our equipment for experiments. This was to develop a resource for all not just our own students.

Hi, I am Anoushka. I am an online tutor with over 4 years of tutoring experience teaching students from KS1 to A Level in mathematics,physics and chemistry. At school, I always found it frustrating when a teacher would simply give us the basic information and expect us to just blindly memorise it. This always presented problems in exams when the question was more out-of-context. Hello my name is Louie I am a 19 year old university student currently studying environmental geoscience at the university of southampton. My course is a mixture of Geology including Geochemistry with also Oceanography, Geography and some environmental science aspects like Ecology. At GCSE level I was extremely interested in science particularly Chemistry and Biology. This lead to me getting a 9 in Biology and a 7 in Chemistry at GCSE level and choosing them both at A-level.
