Hi! I have 4 years of online tutoring experience in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. My teaching style is very interactive and supportive. I encourage students to ask questions and arrive at solutions having completely understood the concept. In order to keep the interest of the student alive, I find engaging short videos, documentaries and activities. I do understand that everyone has different levels of confidence in terms of speaking and academics and respectfully work around the same. I will run my lessons online and provide worksheets and notes when required. I will also provide feedback on all the submitted work and will highlight the areas needing improvement. Having studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge University alongside coaching the university football team I chose to go into teaching as I enjoyed combining my science knowledge with my ability to explain methods to young people. Seeing young people improve was extremely rewarding and I wanted to put this in an educational setting. I have been a Head of Year and am now Head of a large Science Department. This allows me to keep in touch with new teaching methods and discuss with colleagues ways to help pupils improve especially with essay writing in Biology and data analysis. I am also part of the local AQA hub and therefore I am very aware of where pupils make errors in exams and how to improve in these areas.

I am a Science teacher based in Liverpool and have been teaching for 3 years. I teach GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and have experience with both AQA Trilogy and Synergy specifications. I offer tutoring for GCSE Science and AS/A-Level Biology via online sessions. Sessions are tailored to the individual student's needs to meet their goals and build confidence in tackling the content.
Sessions are taught via Skype/Google Meet using a shared screen Powerpoint which is also provided to students at the end of each session. The focus of each session is knowledge recap, improving exam technique using a range of exam-style questions as well as addressing concerns about learning time that has been lost during the Covid-19 pandemic and ensuring students are prepared once they return to the classroom.
