I specialise in working with students on a 1-on-1 basis, easing and tackling individual areas of difficulty at their appropriate pace – something that can be difficult to receive in the standard school environment. My teaching approach is adaptive upon students’ own learning attitude, thus, presenting resources in various ways. It is focused on fostering a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of a topic, before applying that knowledge to solving questionnaires. I also specially aid with exam preparation to share my own unique methods of working and exam techniques/tips. I have taught a wide age group from 5 to 24, which my past tutor sessions were based on creativity of my hobbies such as art, which always worked absolutely well since when I was a GCSE student.
I have many experiences working with children, especially with spending my work experience as an assistant in a primary school class, I was able to interact and deal with various situations to keep the children calm, focused and motivated. I am a fully qualified (QTS) secondary teacher of Biology with 9 years experience working in mainstream schools and I have been tutoring for the last 5 years. I have tutored GCSE and A level biology following the OCR and AQA specifications. I am passionate about my subject and provide a range of reources from past exam questions, experimental methods, animations and text books to enable students to fully understand the subject and for them to achieve thier best. I do lessons online (skype, zoom and messenger) and face to face lesson only at my home if students live up to 20 miles. Biology, chemistry, physics and maths are my favourite subjects that I have been teaching and tutoring since 1990.
