Being employed by the government of Kenya in 2009, I have 15 non interapted years of teaching experience in mathematics and www.*** have passion in teaching.
I am currently a teacher of science / biology at an independent school in Wakefield, teaching KS3 Science, GCSE Biology and 'A' level Biology. Having taught students of all abilities for over 25 years, I have experience in developing individual students learning to allow the student to progress to a level that allows them to obtain grades above their indicator levels.
My teaching is thorough, focusing on the key aspects of the specification and targeting the students learning to examination techniques, that will allow them to access key marking points in order to obtain high levels of attainment.
I have privately tutored for 10 years, ensuring that sessions are structured to the individual students ability, differentiating tasks and questions when required. I notice a remarked improvement in how my tutees structure their answers to allow them to access the higher marking points within exam questions. I am also currently an examiner for GCSE Edexcel board.
Prices on my profile are for online tutoring, taking into account that families are currently under financial restrictions. At this time I would like to offer support to students at a time and cost suitable for all families.

I went into the education sector and attained my PGCE and QTS through a SCITT program called GORSE SCITT. This is where I learnt the fundamentals of how to teach core subjects with efficiency and outstanding progress. I use a mix of videos and quick-fire questioning with examination prep to ensure the student can articulate their knowledge in the subject. I have worked in both health and social care for over 25 yrs. I have been teaching all levels to 14-70yr olds for the last 20yrs
Can tutor in most subjects. I'm a friendly tutor and love working with children. All children learn in different ways with different methods and i adapt my tutoring for each child to make them enjoy the classes and get the most out of the 60 minutes. I've taught ages from 4 all the way up to 24. I graduated from University of Leeds in May 2022, getting a 2:1 in Biology, and have worked as a supply teacher in schools all around Leeds since Janurary. I start my teacher training in september and have worked as supply to gain extra experience. I'm very understanding of different situations and backgrounds children can come from, and adjust teaching materials to fit each individual.
