Science and biology lessons in Faversham, UK.
At WinA Tutors, we work independently with each student though in a group setting with an average of 4-6 students per tutor and a maximum of eight students where the learning plans are similar.
The learning plans are individually developed and agreed with the tutor and where progress is made, targets will be reviewed following periodic formative assessments.
The student is encouraged to eventually take control of his/her development plan thereby moving from a dependent to an independent learner.
I have 22 years teaching experience. I have taught Chemistry to GCSE, BTEC and GNVQ and A Level Chemistry to Year 12. I have also taught Biology to GCSE Level and Physics to KS3 Level. I have Primary experience in both KS1 and KS2.
I have a number of year tutoring experience for Chemistry and all my tutees have passed their GCSE.
Lesson will consist of prepared notes which will be discussed during the tutoring sessions. There will be supported by use of worksheets and then exam style questions. Each lesson will be based on specific areas of the syllabus that is intended to support the work that is being undertaken in the classroom. This will follow the part of the syllabus being taught in the classroom, to support and re-inforce student learning.
I use videos to support learning and these will be showed used a laptop. I will use a projector (if it is possible). If the student wishes to only look at specific areas if the syllabus, then I will undertake to produce material to support this request.
I gained membership of the Royal Society of Chemistry and have undertaken volunteer work for them. I also volunteer in the Science Museum in South Kensington for the last 8 years.

I have been teaching Science for 10 years, first in a grammar school in Canterbury and then as Head of Science in a local independent School. Previous tutees have gone on to study medicine at university. I have a full DBS check.
I have over 25 years years experience in teaching science and Biology. During that time I have helped students achieve results that they are proud of, no matter what their starting point. As a Head of Sixth Form, I also have extensive experience in helping students prep for university tests (BMAT/UKCAT) and interviews.
More than 25 years exparience of teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics to GCSE. I have also taught Biology and Chemistry A-level for some time. I can work both online and at the student's home, if it is not more than 15 miles from Tunbridge Wells.

I'm an experienced GCSE/A-level Biology Tutor with a very strong scientific background. I have a 1st Class BSc in Medical Physiology and am currently studying graduate entry medicine.
My aim is to help students develop a thorough understanding of scientific concepts & develop their ability to apply knowledge to www.*** ; I believe that all students learn differently and should be tutored in a manner that's best suited to their way of learning. In addition to planning and preparing for lessons, I also create supplementary worksheets tailored to the challenges I notice in each individual student.
I’ve tutored students of all ages both online & in public spaces.
I have been teaching GCSE Science for 22 years, Biology up to A level for 22 years, and Physics A level for 12 years. I can also help with BTEC Science coursework and exams. I have been working for a major exam board for 12 years. I believe in building good relationships being one of the most important things in teaching. When we can communicate effectively we can learn and teach effectively. Most of my teaching has been in central London so I have lots of experience dealing with challenging behaviour and facing the challenge of students who at first don't want to learn. I have had several positions of responsibility including KS3 coordinator, deputy Head of Science, Head of Science, and recently Head of post 16 Sciences and head of BTEC Science. My work with exam boards means I know how to get students to pass exams. I have taken on students currently on a U, and they have ended up getting an A, purely being taught how to answer exam questions. I have a current DBS certificate and recently completed Designated Safeguarding Lead training as well as level 2 courses in Counselling Children and Adolescents, and Forensic Psychology.
