I have worked as an independent home tutor for many years, developing my clientele both through online tutoring websites and locally. I have experience in one-to-one tutoring as well as small groups. Delivering tutoring in KS1 to GCSE English and Maths, as well as science up to A-level standards. I am a Biochemistry professional, having studied at the University of Oxford, and graduated with a Masters degree in molecular and cellular biochemistry. I have solid background (7 years experience) with chemistry (organic, inorganic, physical) and biochemistry for both A-levels and University level.
My preferred method of tutoring is the Oxford tutorial method, that works via questions that aim to develop critical thinking skills in the student, and an ability to follow a line of reason from scratch building-up to complex arguments. This is especially useful in dealing with the more complex questions set by the exams, requiring proofs and a solid inference pattern.

I am an experienced, qualified teacher and tutor of 20+ years. I am educated to master's level and have expereince teaching and tutoring primary and preparatory school pupils (ages 6 - 13). I can also support those children making important transitions between key stages or who are adjusting to the pace of work in a new school.
