My name is Kiera and I always struggled in primary school to focus and understand in ways which the teachers were teaching. I never understood why untill finding out that I'm dyslexic, which made sense why I learnt in different ways to my friends. Hence why now I have decided to help others that might feel the same, as I know what it feels like so being able to use my own experience to help children to feel more confident in themselves and their abilities in maths and English then let's go on that adventure together.
Why am I only just starting to tutor?
I have decided to start tutoring as I was working in a nursery as a practitioner. I really enjoyed teaching the preschoolers their phonics, numbers, problem solving skills and encouraging mark making to progress to start learning how to write letters.
I am currently on maternity leave and have time to dedicate to teaching which is something I am aiming towards in the future by training to be a primary school teacher.

Hi, thank you for taking a look at my profile.
I'm a secondary school maths teacher, qualified in 2018 and have worked in schools in Manchester and Burnley but live on the Fylde coast. As a teacher and a parent I know you want the best for your child and so any questions however trivial they might seem please ask.
At the moment I will only teach online due to the current Covid 19 restrictions, but have tutored in the past at students houses which I hope to resume once lockdown is over.

I have excelled in my GCSE'S with grade 9's and passed all my subjects. Having studied for the past 6 years towards achieving an Islamic Theology degree, I have grasped the Arabic and Urdu Language. I am an excellent GCSE tutor; evident through the feedback given by my 25 GCSE students. I have previously mentored a year 11 student towards achieving high grades in maths. Chosen as an English Ambassador for A-level students has excelled my experience in teaching.
