Acrylic Painting Tutor, Teacher, Instructor
My background in education is heavily centred around a student-led approach. Teaching art for over 12 years to learners with diverse backgrounds, ages, and abilities, originally starting as a private tutor educating students either studying for GCSEs, A levels, building portfolios for universities, or mature students looking to enhance their technical ability and practice
Alongside my private work, I have taught in group environments to people with learning difficulties and epilepsy at local charities such as 'The Meath Epilepsy Charity' and 'Arthouse Unlimitied' in Godalming. In recent years, my experience in this sector has evolved to teach learners with ADHD, autism, and physical and mental disabilities at establishments such as the Disability Initiative in Camberley.
With this experience, I have learned an assortment of instructional techniques that enable me to connect with different learners on their own individual paths. Due to the nature of the charity workshops, clients are encouraged to create their own personal response to subject matter, a project theme, or even their own personal projects they want to complete for themselves. The versatility of these sessions allows for more time with each individual, empowering them and infusing much-needed knowledge to various different clients with their own unique creativity.
My private and group tutoring roles have been mostly with adults, with vastly different experiences and knowledge. I have learned invaluable interpersonal skills, techniques, and patience while educating, working on group projects, or participating in group discussion. I find my Fine Art Degree background in technical realism a great advantage in helping those who need expert advice on creating realistic art, mixing tones, and perspective. Though my warm and open-minded nature enables exploration with my students to enjoy art for the process as well as the end product. I feel this aspect has been the most important in my experience, as with a group of diverse learners with their own project ideas in mind, the process has to be enjoyable and therapeutic enough for them to return in the future. To explore oneself through creativity is as important for a student studying a degree as it is for a casual beginner.
I believe my experience in teaching would be beneficial to any student wanting to progress their work at any level. While having an ongoing art practice for over 15 years, with a multitude of technical abilities and vast experience tutoring people with different learning capacities, I know I'd be beneficial for any learner of mixed artistic capabilities and interests.

I am a freelance artist. I paint, draw, do collage and sculpt using different media i. e. Acrylic paint, charcoal pencils, oil pastels and different materials for collage. I finished college in the Philippines and has a bachelor's degree in U. K. There are a lot of skills, knowledge and insights I have accumulated through the years in which I want to share to younger generation. I am patient, creative, calm in the way I teach.

I am an artist based in Hastings. I’m originally from london having studied there for my art diploma. I then studied fine art in Hampshire and focused mainly on painting and printing. I have spent more than 2 decades teaching art in and around Hastings in secondary schools. I have recently quit teaching so I can focus on my own artwork. I work mainly in acrylic and oil pastels with some collage. My style is experimental with an abstract influence. I enjoy the playful aspect of paint and the spontaneity of every layer.
