I have taught science for over 13 years and can teach in any of the 3 disciplines; biology, chemistry and physics. I teach to A Level in both biology and physics and have worked with students who have gone on to study maths, medicine and any number of degree subjects at any number of red brick universities around the UK. I have tutored privately also; working with confident students looking to stretch themselves towards their very high targets and also to students who understandably find science a difficult subject to master. I have, on a daily basis for over a decade, set and marked GCSE and A Level work, set and marked coursework, provided appropriate feedback on homework, classwork and everything in between, and so have a very current understanding of the exam requirements for science examinations in OCR and AQA. At all levels. Teaching and helping young people through this vitally important time in their lives is an absolute privilege and so I'm more than happy to use my skills to teach outside of the classroom and come to your house; saving you time and allowing you to be more relaxed as we work through the various topics. I know how to identify specific areas of weakness and to construct a well planned route through the topic areas, supporting you with homework and study practice as we go. I also know how important it is for you to develop your own methods of working through the qualification and can offer advice and suggestions on how you can get the most out of your own revision so you are not solely reliant on a tutor or teacher.
