EMPLOYMENT CURRENTLY TEACHING ONLINE JUNE 2018-JUNE 2019-ESL TEACHER AT WORLD INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH SCHOOL in Shandong, China. JULY 2017 – MAY 2018 – ESL teacher at Unity English in Fujian – teaching children and adults. APRIL 2015 – JUNE 2017 - online trading and part-time English teaching to private students. APRIL 2014 – APRIL 2015. ESL teacher at Talking Street (latterly METEN) English language centre in Ningbo, China. Classes ranged from 1-10 students with ages ranging from 8-50.
TEACHING QUALITIES I chose to start a teaching career as I wanted a new challenge in life as I had been working in an office environment for many years. I took the CELTA course in Brighton, England with a view to teaching abroad and was greatly encouraged by the feedback from the instructor and fellow students during the course. In the classroom I am very patient and genuinely want to see my students improve. I can adapt to students of different ages and personalities and realise that a sense of humour in the classroom goes a long way.
