Additional information and experience - Samuel H.

I have recently finished reading Music at the University of Cambridge. The comprehensive nature of the course means that I'm comfortable on any musical subject. I regularly perform both as a clarinettist and conductor, with my ensemble Dorian Chamber Orchestra.

In the past four years, I have also worked extensively in music outreach. This has involved working on the Ealing Youth Orchestra Roadshow team, demonstrating music to local primary school children and giving them basic instrumental lessons; singing alongside the Armonico Consort, performing in schools across England as part of a wider 'Supersize Polyphony' tour; and working in coordination with Wigmore Hall Learning during my time working at the Hall.

I have also worked as a private Latin tutor for the past two years. I've loved the classics for as long as I can remember, and it was a close decision between studying classics and music at university but have subsequently tried to keep up my skills in this area. I continue to use Classics widely in my degree, translating Medieval Latin treatises and documents on musical performance for my third-year dissertation, for example.
