Teaching Philosophy:
Lessons with me are fun and never serious! Piano - I use the Michael Aaron teaching books. Organ I use David Sanger. Brass I use Arban. Vocal and theory are with my own knowledge and other sources. I believe that music education should be an engaging and enjoyable experience. My teaching philosophy revolves around creating a positive and supportive environment that fosters creativity, discipline, and a deep appreciation for music. I strive to instill a strong foundation of technique, musicality, and theory while encouraging my students to explore their own unique musical expressions.

About Me:
Hello, I’m Richard, a passionate and dedicated music teacher with extensive knowledge and passing on ability teaching brass and all keyboard instruments. I cater for (Brass) trumpet, cornet, horn, euphonium, tuba. Keyboard instruments, Electronic keyboard, piano and organ. I also teach recorder and basic vocal tuition, as well as music theory.
With a deep love for music and a commitment to nurturing the musical talents of my students, I provide comprehensive instruction tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. Whether you’re a beginner starting your musical journey or an advanced player looking to refine your skills, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

Experience:
With over 30 years of musical experience, I have had the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds and age groups.

In addition to my teaching experience, I am an active performer, regularly showcasing my skills on brass instruments and keyboards. This first hand experience enriches my teaching, as I can share practical insights and inspire my students through my own musical journey.
