Hello, I am Olivia Denton and I am enthusiastic and passionate about my subject: English. However, it was not always easy for me, in fact at high school I was not doing very well at English, I didn't seem to understand the way English was taught in schools and I required the head start of my teacher sitting down with me one-on-one and helping me to improve. My success in English is partly due to the support of exceptional teachers, who used creative new methods and suport to guide my learning which led to me achieving at A* English Literature A-Level, and a degree from one of the country's top universities. Since developing a skill and love for English I have been lucky to work as a tutor, with highlights including leading English workshops at Explore Learning and taking creative writing workshops into schools. I am excited about English as a subject especially for harvesting young imaginations and I am determind that everyone can be an excellent English scholar, if given the correct support and that English can enrich any life whatever your natural abilities may be. My love for English is part of everything I do, my ambition is to write plays, novels and anything else I can whilst my hobbies include writing, performing and reading. In my private life I have also helped many of my friends as well as my younger brother (now an Aerospace Engineering student) pass exams all the way up to A-Level.
