I have been teaching Mathematics for the past 5 years, and have an extensive understanding and specific experience in the mastery of mathematics and applying this to reasoning and problem solving, which our exams are heavily weighted in. I have been the head of KS3 Mathematics at my current school for more than a year, and have an excellent understanding of the transition from primary to secondary mathematics, as well as the KS3 to GCSE transition within mathematics. I have also been fortunate to be working on a course that works with select schools in Birmingham, to be able to gain understanding of mastery within mathematics, to then teach in this format and share with other schools. I am passionate about what I do, and have an extremely positive attitude towards what I believe a student can achieve, when broken down into and accessible format. I have got a degree Psychology from the University of Essex, and am a fully qualified teacher of Mathematics, graded outstanding. |
