After 21 years in a primary school classroom I became disillusioned with the school system. I was being told to teach in a way that didn't suit me but more importantly, didn't suit some of my pupils. A 'one size fits all' approach wasn't working and I became as frustrated as my pupils. Then the pandemic hit and the couple of hours after school tuition I had been doing became a full time job. My pupils flourished, made great progress, their confidence grew and I felt like myself again. |
