I am a fun, bubbly, reliable and passionate teacher and childcare provider, with ten years Primary School Teacher experience and over ten years babysitting. I am living in Torpoint, Cornwall and I hail originally from South West London. My approach to teaching centre’s on the individual, where my style of teaching adapts to suit the pupil’s individual style of digesting learning, which supports the increase of learning and engagement. I approach the Tutor and pupil relationship by getting to know the individual, and using interests learned to shape the lesson material and activities. It is important to offer learning experiences tailored to the individual! I have extensive experience teaching children of all Primary ages, with particular experience teaching KS3 pupils through Year three to six. I specialise in tutoring to bridge gaps in learning, where the key stage transition can often disrupt engagement and I have experience in running SATs preparation as well as preparing pupils for their 11+ exams. I live with my two cats, love to hike, travel, play piano, practice yoga, meditate, cook, watch films, and laugh with friends! I have a very flexible schedule at the moment and am looking for a family and/or schools I can regularly help on a long or short term basis. |
