I have been a Primary school teacher since 2008, working primarily in Manchester schools close to the city centre. I have experience teaching all subjects from Nursery to Year 6, being an Upper Key Stage 2 teacher for 4 of the last 11 years. I can offer general tuition based on the Primary National Curriculum, as well as more specialised Maths support. I am currently employed as a Maths Lead, teaching Maths across the school with a focus on tutoring children through their Year 2 and Year 6 SATS. Over the last 11 years I have worked with children who have English as an additional language and a lot of experience creating personalised lesson plans for children with Special Educational Needs. As a speciality, I have attended and led trajning on the principles of Singapore Maths using the concrete, pictoral and abstract approach to embed Mathematical concepts. At the minute my time is flexible over the summer holidays. |
