Hi, my name is Danny and I'm currently a fourth-year medical student at Aston University. I’m excited to share a bit about myself and how I can help students with their GCSE studies in either maths, physics, chemistry.
I achieved an A* in maths chemistry and physics at GCSE level and an A in maths at A level. I’ve had tones of experience tutoring family members and friends on their journeys and would like to help others now as well.
Having someone to guide your children can make all the difference. I’m here to help them do well in their exams and truly enjoy the learning process. I believe that a strong foundation in maths and chemistry opens so many doors. I was a sceptic when it came to being tutored however this was very necessary and I’m thankful to my parents for making that decision, as I was able to get a 7 in English which I initially struggled with. This grade wouldn’t have been possible without a tutor. It was vital for allowing me to go on to study medicine, as every grade counts.
As a medical student, I've spent countless hours mastering complex subjects. I know how challenging GCSE topics can be, but I believe that with the right guidance, anyone can excel. My journey has taught me effective study techniques that I’d love to pass on to students. If you're looking to provide support for your children in their GCSE studies, I’d love to work with them! Together, we can tackle any challenges they’re facing and make learning enjoyable.
The most important things about my lessons is being interactive and allowing the student to be heard. So every lesson will have learning objectives and further learning points. To begin the lesson we will go through the homework that is set and any difficulties they had in the previous lesson. This is to assess the students active recall of information. Next the theory work will be done on a PowerPoint outlining the principles needed to excel in the next part in the next part of the lesson being practical learning. Practical learning for all the subjects I will tutor will include exam questions. I believe this to be the best way for students to learn and is very reliable as this is what the exams they are sitting will contain. To end the lesson, we will discuss what we will do next lesson and what the homework that is set will be about. I think progress is really important and a lesson report after every lesson will be made available for parent view. If out of request a personalised what went well, even better if and next lesson we will cover format. This will allow the parent to understand the weakness and strengths identified each lesson. Finally to ensure a student is engaged with learning I feel it’s very important to be empathetic with things that are difficult. As well as this, praising when the student asks questions. These are a couple of the many ways to motivate a student to learn effectively. I can’t wait to help students of all levels excel in their academics. |
