I have experience tutoring students in college and over 800+ online taught hours. I have tutored students internationally, in countries such as Dubai. I am an advanced lesson planner and produce engaging, interactive, and fascinating lessons. My passion for the subjects I teach, and my empathy means I am understanding and encouraging, my lessons are a safe place for students to learn and thrive. I have attended many exam structure seminars and have travelled on the premise of geographical study to countries such as Costa Rica and the Azores. I also enjoy reading economics-related literature, which helps me to take a holistic approach to teaching economics. I have studied geography for 8 years and Economics intensively for 5 years.
The first lesson typically involves me assessing a student's ability, responsiveness to different learning techniques, and the current curriculum they follow. This will enable us to decide on a student's goals they aspire to achieve with tutoring. We can then decide how to structure our sessions to best progress a student's ability.
From then on weekly lessons will integrate the learnings of previous weeks to improve the retrieval of content taught. I like to empower students so they feel confident enough to teach me the topics we will cover!
