Kate is a British teacher & author. She attended an all-girls grammar school & graduated with a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Kent. She went on to receive a Post Graduate Diploma & a Masters in Education.
For 10 years, Kate worked in Hong Kong as a NET (native English teacher), aiding Secondary Schools in establishing an English rich environment, promoting the love of reading & writing through language arts, as well as speech festivals and debate training. She is currently a freelance writer and private tutor.
As well as ESL teaching, her focus levels are also on GCSE & A Level (OCR, AQA, Edexcel), igcse, 11+, IELTS & HKDSE.
Some of her published work includes: Grade 1-Grade 3 Grammar textbooks for those learning English as a second language, a poetry collection “The Forgotten” & her fantasy novel “Caskets of Ice”.
In her spare time, you will catch her writing prose, promoting books on social media and reading, sometimes 7 books a month. Her love of literature knows no bounds! She currently acts as a rep for book companies such as Canterbury Classics, Country House Library, Bookdepository etc and has over 12k followers on IG.
