Prior to teaching I have worked in life science Reasearch and Development and in Biopharamceutical research, sales and marketing. I also worked a part-time voluntary teaching assistant in primary and seconday schools for 2 years. In 2014 I decided to change career completely to become a science teacher, so I trained at Kings College, graduating with my PGCE in 2015.
My background prior to teaching brings additional experience and skills to my teaching. Chemistry is my specialist subject. I have taught and tutored all sciences successfully to years 7 to 11, and have taught and tutored Chemistry and Biology at A level.

I recently completed a masters degree in civil engineering at the University of Bristol, and have since worked as a structural engineer for 15 months. At A-Level, I achieved an A* in mathematics, an A* in physics, and an A in chemistry. At GCSE level, I achieved 9A*s and 1A, including an A* in maths. I am looking to help students work through topics they are struggling with, and achieve their potential in the subject. I want to use the knowledge and experience I have gained during my time at school, university, and in my work as an engineer, to help provide productive and fulfilling lessons to students.

My name is José María de Lucas Sacristán, though most know me as Chema Sacristán. I've been a professional drummer since 2004. I'd like to share a brief biography of my career in the U.K. In 2002, at 19, I realized my love for music and moved to Bristol, U.K., where I lived for four years. In 2006, I moved to London to study at Tech Music Schools, known as "Drum Tech," where I completed my higher education and earned a BMUS in Popular Music Performance (Hons), licensed by West London University. After completing my degree in 2011, I worked exclusively as a performing drummer and drum teacher, giving private lessons in my own studio, Oktopus Music Services, in North West London. In the past nine years, I've had the privilege of performing, recording, and writing with some of the best musicians in the London and U.K. scene, such as Kevin Glasgow (one of Europe's best bassists), Robin Banerjee (Amy Winehouse's guitarist), Roberto Manzin (Zucchero), Felipe Martíns (Emeterians), Juan Whist (The Voice National Spanish TV), and many others. (i) For School UNI students I have a deep understanding of the National Curricula from the different Boards, Aqua, Edexcel, Cambridge, and preparing students for University examinations, including UCL or Oxbridge. My experience gave me the ability to quickly spot the student's strengths and weaknesses. The result is that my students have all gained between B and A or A* or 9, at their A-level or GCSE exams, (I had just one student who was given a B, the others all gain A or A* or 9). However as importantly they are able to enjoy fluent speaking and a full understanding of the Italian Language.
(ii) For Adults and Professional students In tutoring adult and professional students I have developed a method which using authentic teaching material, such as New reading, or listening, songs or moves listening. This has allowed all of them to deal in Italian, to a mother tongue level, such as job interviews or giving presentation, or simply talking with Italians once in Italy
Learning a language is the process of understanding which involves all the fours apprehension skills of listening, writing, speaking, reading which makes the entire process a very effective means to train your brain, but most of all is an entire unique psychological and emotional experience. I am a Qualified Physics teacher, currently teaching in a state school. My tutoring approach is flexible moulding my teaching style according to students understanding. I listen to students and encourage them to speak and ask questions. I believe the three main attributes that makes a fantastic teacher are a passion for the subject, a great sense of humour and consistent high expectations of all students. I have a great desire in working with young people of diverse backgrounds and helping them to reach their academic potential. I will first assess how much of a certain topic they know and then plan my session from this information. Homework is set after tuition for further independent work and then marked with quality feedback to the tutee. I have a progress checklist that I sign off once they have successfully achieved a certain level. My Tutees are given a copy for their own records.

Hello! I’m Josh, a Head of Mathematics at a successful Secondary school in Bromley and an experienced online tutor specialising in GCSE and A-level Mathematics, including Further Maths. I’ve been doing this for 8 years, and I’ve found joy in simplifying tricky math concepts.
Why online tutoring? I believe it offers flexibility and convenience. You can learn from the comfort of your space and at your pace. However, I do require students to have a graphics tablet to make our virtual lessons interactive and effective.

Teaching Chemistry for 41 years has given me significant insight into the common conceptual pitfalls that hinder learning. So, first and foremost, I aim to develop a sound conceptual understanding and thereby foster tutees' confidence. Grasping Chemistry is like tackling a jig-saw puzzle: The pattern emerges when the links between the individual parts are apparent; I pride myself in enabling tutees to make these connections. Once the subject foundations are secure we move on to questions, examination technique and past papers.
