I taught at a secondary school in West Norfolk for 10 years but have now decided to tutor full time. I ensure my mathematics skills are up to date and I understand the latest exam requirements and teaching methods. I only tutor pupils using online sessions .
As well as experience with all English exam boards for maths I can also tutorfor WJEC (Welsh exam board). I also have experience with the IGCSE Maths exam and can teach Statistics GCSE.
Pupils use my tutoring lessons to ensure they fully understand what they have been taught in school, to help improve their exam grades and to assist with home schooling lessons. I tailor my tutoring for each pupil and discuss their needs and requirements with them not only during the first tutoring lesson but on an ongoing basis.
I have expreience tutoring pupils who excel at maths and pupils who struggle with their maths. I also have experience with SEND pupils including Autusim, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and ADHD.
I have been teaching biology for 18 years. I have been a Head of Biology at 2 private schools, Director of Studies at one school. I have wide experienence of teaching GCSE(AQA and IGCSE), as well as A level(AQA and OCR). I am a committed, enthusiastic and friendly tutor/mentor with 30 years of teaching experience and up to date knowledge of teaching methods. Since graduating from the University or Reading in 1992, I have taught in a variety of Norfolk schools - both primary and secondary (including an American school here in the U. K.). I have a proven track record of improving pupil achievement in maths and am able to offer tailor-made tuition to meet individual pupil needs - whether the student is struggling to keep up at school, developing confidence or preparing for exams.
Home Educated children I am happy to work with home educators and their children.
