I have a great deal of experience as a tutor. I have been working at one of the UK's leading Grammar Schools for the past four years. I tutor maths GCSE and A level online. I have also conducted numerous online webinars/ webclasses and drop-in sessions for students across the country for A Level maths. I love to make maths engaging. My instagram and YouTube accounts (Mark-a-minute maths) has had a wide following from students and I consistently post short 1 minute videos for students to get snappy, bitesize reviews of topics and model answers to exam questions.

I have an extensive knowledge of teaching and learning from nursery to year six. I have a high expectations for behaviour and maintain a calm, respectful and hard-working leaning environment where pupils are comfortable and learn to the best of their ability. I am passionate about all subjects, but mathematics, science and Accounting have always been three favourite subjects of mine, they form the foundation for learning in all other subjects and I believe teaching pupils Maths and Science forms the very basis of this present-day society in which children and young adults are living today.
I am an experience Maths tutor for over 10 years. I teach students of all ages from primary to GCSE Level. I am helping students for Revision, Regular homework, Exam papers, Mock exam papers, Wide range of practice papers, Weekly tests and Mock Tests.
I have had a great deal of experience working in classrooms and with whole groups of children and have worked with small groups of children outside the classroom. I have seen the postive effects that one-to-one intervention can have on children and always bring that level of academic intimacy to the classroom.
This year 11+ Plus to grammar school results was very great for me that the 5 children I tutor for grammar school passed exceedingly well and were all offered addmision into Kent Grammar schools, Chelmsford High School for girls and King Edwards Grammar School. I Tutor children for their year 6 KS2 (SAT).

I originally trained and worked as a secondary school English teacher, but I found the pressure in schools led to teachers being overwhelmed with paperwork and the teaching element almost became a lesser priority. Now I prefer to focus on private tuition where my primary aim is teaching and enabling students to achieve. At Perfect Plus Tutoring, we strive to create an academic atmosphere which is enjoyable as well as beneficial. I offer private tuition to students in North Kent, Medway and Maidstone areas.
I have a team of tutors who are all DBS checked and either currently teach or have taught in schools.

I am a highly experienced teacher of psychology and sociology with excellent track record on engagement and results and a past examiner for AQA psychology. Specialising in AQA psychology and AQA sociology, I have also taught/tutored Edexcel & IB psychology (standard and higher level) and OCR & WJEC sociology. Excellent resources to support students with tricky topics, help develop skills and allow stretch & challenge to meet the top mark bands. Follow me online on Facebook and Instagram as The Learning Navigator to access free resources including my special topic summary sheets called octals.
If you are struggling with the research methods components of the courses, I can demystify, explain these and build your confidence with mathematical skills/statistical testing. Not sure how to structure examination answers for the longer questions? I can help with that too. Extensive experience means I can deliver comprehensive examination skills and guidance along with detailed subject content.
I have a Masters degree in teaching and learning and enjoy working with students to develop effective learning strategies and build confidence. Study skills development is a speciality - work smarter, build confidence, achieve better!
I am tutoring full-time after many years working in schools and quickly became fully booked last year. I put a lot of work and preparation into sessions to tailor them specifically to my students' needs and have achieved excellent results in 2023 including an A grade in sociology for a student who missed the whole of Year 12 at school! Please enquire for more details and to book your free initial assessment.
Terms and conditions
I pride myself on building up a good working relationship with my clients. Since tutoring is normally for a period of some months as examinations approach and in the interests of fair play for both parties, I've set out some key points regarding charges and cancellations during the tutoring period.
Charges
A-Level sessions are delivered online weekly via Teams in one-hour blocks. Charges reflect my qualifications, experience and the way my sessions are tailored to each individual student’s needs, making them highly effective at boosting learning, confidence and grades. Not all online tutors have teaching or examining experience and these are key to making good progress for the examinations. Knowing all the misconceptions and pitfalls on content and structuring examination questions makes a big difference and it is vital that tutoring is effective for the student.
I am happy to offer each new client one free initial assessment and discussion session to assess the needs and type of help required plus it gives you a chance to see how I work and fit in with your requirements. There is no obligation on either side to continue after this first session.
Thereafter, if you decide to proceed, charges are as follows:
· One session per week = £40, payable on the day of the session
· Two sessions per week = £75 payable on the day of the second session of the week (second session discounted to £35)
· Three sessions per week = £105, payable on the day of the third session of the week (third session discounted to £30)
Payment direct to my bank account please (details will be provided)
Cancellations Policy
Once a regular slot has been booked for the student, the same time every week, I will endeavour always to be available to tutor them. There is scope for discussion if a regular time needs to be rearranged, subject to my availability.
From time to time, flexibility on both sides is required due to life events and unexpected occurrences. This may involve cancellation of a particular session or the need to reschedule and I will always try to accommodate if I can do so.
· 24 hours minimum notice – no charge for occasional cancellation or rescheduling of a particular booked session. There may be times when I need to request a change due to exceptional circumstances but I will keep this to an absolute minimum and give plenty of notice where possible.
· Last-minute changes (day of session) – I can accommodate a reasonable number of requests to change individual session days/times - subject to availability) - for example, if the student is unwell
· No notice of cancellation/change for a session – the full charge is payable as I will have prepared materials and been sitting waiting for the student to arrive in the meeting. If you’re going to be a few minutes late please text/call me on 07522 430918 and I’ll try to accommodate you by starting and finishing a little later (max 10 minutes) otherwise that time will be lost
· Punctuality: if you are late to a session, there is no expectation that this time can be made up. The full session payment is still due.
· If either side wishes to terminate the arrangement during the year, then a minimum of two weeks’ notice must be given. The tutoring arrangement automatically comes to an end after the student has sat all the relevant examinations for that subject.
