I can make Chemistry, which is arguably the hardest subject at A-level, accessible to all in a funa nd logical manner which not only builds subject knowledge, but boosts confidence in every aspect of theor lives. I give them a 'can-do-attitude' and all my students would be the first to admit it.
With the knowledge of state and independent sector, I am equipped to deliver the highest standard and I will not settle for an average grade. I have knowledge of various exam boards and unlike others, I have a substantial knowledge of all major exam boards including international as well as IB boards. It's my job to know the key differences between boards so let me guide you.

Prior to teaching I have worked in life science Reasearch and Development and in Biopharamceutical research, sales and marketing. I also worked a part-time voluntary teaching assistant in primary and seconday schools for 2 years. In 2014 I decided to change career completely to become a science teacher, so I trained at Kings College, graduating with my PGCE in 2015.
My background prior to teaching brings additional experience and skills to my teaching. Chemistry is my specialist subject. I have taught and tutored all sciences successfully to years 7 to 11, and have taught and tutored Chemistry and Biology at A level.
I am a Chartered Linguist with over 15 years of experience working in the language industry. I have a BA (HONS) in Languages and Translation Studies. I recently completed a masters degree in civil engineering at the University of Bristol, and have since worked as a structural engineer for 15 months. At A-Level, I achieved an A* in mathematics, an A* in physics, and an A in chemistry. At GCSE level, I achieved 9A*s and 1A, including an A* in maths. I am looking to help students work through topics they are struggling with, and achieve their potential in the subject. I want to use the knowledge and experience I have gained during my time at school, university, and in my work as an engineer, to help provide productive and fulfilling lessons to students.

My name is José María de Lucas Sacristán, though most know me as Chema Sacristán. I've been a professional drummer since 2004. I'd like to share a brief biography of my career in the U.K. In 2002, at 19, I realized my love for music and moved to Bristol, U.K., where I lived for four years. Bristol exposed me to all sorts of music, including rock, jazz, world music, and more. I played my first shows and worked with over five different local bands, gaining valuable experience. In 2006, I moved to London to study at Tech Music Schools, known as "Drum Tech," where I completed my higher education and earned a BMUS in Popular Music Performance (Hons), licensed by West London University. After completing my degree in 2011, I worked exclusively as a performing drummer and drum teacher, giving private lessons in my own studio, Oktopus Music Services, in North West London. In the past nine years, I've had the privilege of performing, recording, and writing with some of the best musicians in the London and U.K. scene, such as Kevin Glasgow (one of Europe's best bassists), Robin Banerjee (Amy Winehouse's guitarist), Roberto Manzin (Zucchero), Felipe Martíns (Emeterians), Juan Whist (The Voice National Spanish TV), and many others. I've showcased in most of London's live music venues and with the best U.K. and European entertainment agencies, such as Scarlett Entertainment, Full Stop Entertainment, and more. She flew through the entrance exams and was awarded an academic scholarship to her first choice, Sherborne School for Girls, which she started recently. A native French speaker who is a language lover, I have studied about 7 languages in my life, hence the homework help I can give in Spanish, Italian and German. I've learnt modern Greek, Latin and Albanian too. Now learning Japanese. I have experience with diplomats and corporate people from the City and with children and adults with special needs, Asperger's and learning difficulties. I did my teacher training in 2001-2002 after 2.5 years of being a French assistant in London schools. I starting private tuition in 1999.
I am an empathic and patient tutor who uses intuition in my teaching. I don't have the same method for everyone as my students are all different.
I also offer coaching for clients who needs life advice, especially life changes and challenges.
