I gained QTS in 2012 and spent over 10 years delivering outstanding lessons at one of the top rated Grammar schools in England. I was personally highlighted during my time there as achieving the best A- level results in the school, which was measured on pupil’s individual progression. I have 3 years of experience as a private 1:1 tutor where I teach online via Zoom. Students I work with make great progress (often jumping 2-3 grade boundaries within the first term) under my tutoring programme due to my experienced background and previous examining duties.
My approach is to be supportive, encouraging yet constructive in my feedback in order for my students to progress. My online sessions are personalised to meet the needs of the individual learner and are always tailored to the specific examination board being studied. I use various methods including delivering content that the tutee might not have grasped yet and I ensure to focus time each session on exam techniques in relation to short and essay based questions. I am a graduate from the University of Aston Birmingham. Raising the academic attainment of students has been a deep passion and successful achievement - as a former Founding Principal of a school for 4- 16-year-olds, a current practising English teacher, and a tutor. For the last 10 years, I have been working as a primary school teacher at an outstanding school.
I have over 15 years experience and have worked within many schools, two of which were long-term.
Over the years, my teaching career has allowed me to experience many different and difficult situations. These in turn have made me a more confident, organised, resourceful and experienced (in many years groups) teacher.
My current role is a Year 2 class teacher, however I have taught children from Nursery up to Year 6 as a cover teacher too.
I took part in the Government led school tutoring program, where I tutored 3 children from Year 2 in Writing. This has deepened my experience further, especially when assisting children to achieve the best they can.

As a representative of the medical community, I have always enjoyed teaching because it is the only way to get information. Staying up to date on the subjects is required. More interactive sessions and discussions with the aid of videos would be my preferred method of instruction , especially when it comes to physiology, pictures help students remember the material better than abstract concepts. Additionally, I want to continue revising sessions each week so that students may stay up to date on the material they have learned. Additionally, I can assist them with taking notes.
