I deem it prudent to apply for the management lecturer position recently published online to be allowed to exhibit my talent, skills and expertise as I join your reputable institution.
I possess the ability to deliver high-quality academic writing, teaching and tutorials at all levels including, A level, foundation year, undergraduate and masters levels in my subject area of specialisation, business and management studies marketing, international business, inquiry-based learning and research methods and all management related and business finance modules in higher education. I can carry out core activities in the areas of teaching and learning, knowledge transfer and professional practice, demonstrating institutional impact in the academic discipline.
I possess a first degree in www.*** management and mathematics, and master's degree in management and administration from the university of Ghana and master's in international business management from Middlesex University. I also possess a level 7 diploma certificate in strategic management and leadership, and I can exhibit the skills required of a leader in my current role and not only as an educator, but among my colleagues.
I enrolled with a self funded PGCert in higher education with Anglia Ruskin University which I recently completed in June 2024. I plan and look forward to start my PhD by next year to add value to myself and enhance my career as a lecturer.
In terms of my knowledge and expertise in professional practice, I have an advanced knowledge in business management and specialised in areas such as project management, strategic manage, supply chain and procurement management as I have some industry experience in the practice of these key management areas in business.
My knowledge in these subject areas can be conveyed through effective knowledge transfare using current affairs, debates and case studies to express complex knowledge to students’ understanding.
I am therefore able to prepare, teach and deliver lessons on all business and management related modules which are relevant knowledge of the subject area of this role.
I can demonstrate profound knowledge of curriculum in business management as I possess the expertise of developing business modules through module leadership and strictly adhering to higher education quality assurance and professional standards framework.
Module leadership, assessment, personal academic tutorship and other administrative work like academic interviews and selection are responsibilities I perform with ease and without supervision. As part of my lesson delivery, I design very engaging lessons to keep my students well-engaged from start to finish.
I generally have a decade experience in teaching business management in higher education. Specifically 7 years of international experience and 3 years experience in the United Kingdom with A levels and foundation years students inclusive. Online learning (VLE) during the covid times were very challenging, which I could relate as an international student and an academic professional. In view of this, I could only engage in several research and online resources to make my learning easier.
Hence, in taking up an appointment as a lecturer in the UK, I based all my lesson delivery on research, stimulation and practical knowledge which keep my highly focused and engaged in long hours lecture from start to finish. My lesson presentation is top-notch as it involves several simulations and activities that never get bored.
Technology makes my lessons great, and I am highly proficient in the use of Microsoft packages and keeping files in a more organised way.
Research and innovation is an ability I possess due to the passion I exhibit in the process, and I am a member of the research Center in London school of science and technology as I participate in several research activities conducted by the institution. This is evident in a recent symposium at my current university where research I Co-authored has passed and been selected by the university’s research centre with publications underway.
I professionally demonstrate a good communication skill in teaching and learning as I interact with my students. During lesson delivery, I use all communication skills to meet learner’s needs as I understand the diversity among my students in terms of their learning styles. Visual learners tend to benefit from all videos, images and illustrations during my lesson delivery whiles aural and kinaesthetic learners also benefit from verbal/ audio lessons (presentations and lecture) and practical learning respectively. My presentation skills to both large and small groups of students have a huge impact on students learning as I use student centred and creative approach.
I can work well in a team as my major role in working in a team usually comprises of problem-solving. I am also an independent person who works well without supervision but focused on always meeting deadlines. Leading committees and communications among my colleagues are being exhibited through module leadership and networking activities I perform in my role as a lecturer. Several administrative roles such as Personal Academic tutorship and ensuring student satisfaction and support through effective communication between students and academic stakeholders are roles performed in my profession. I am highly organised and methodical in these processes as that keeps my work simple and offers enough time to focus on my lesson preparation, plan and delivery.
Flexibility and adaptability is an essential aspect of my profession and I am open to all arrangements that may require me to flexibly adapt and adjust. In terms of leadership and management, I have the ability to demonstrate my involvement in the support of newly recruited lecturers offering them the training they need to proceed and to become well-seasoned lecturers.
My teaching methods are engaging and effective, fostering a positive learning environment for students. The extensive knowledge I exhibit in my field and the ability to convey complex concepts understandably, showcase my high level of proficiency as an educator. The use of e-learning resources and PowerPoint presentations makes my lesson plan and delivery easier however I add up many creative means to make them exciting and impactful for my students.
My commitment to continuous improvement is also worth noting as I engage in seeking ways to enhance her teaching techniques and stay updated with the latest advancements in my profession. I am enthusiastic about self-development and ongoing CPD and excited to fully engage in that to dynamically progress in my career. I have done several self-learning and CPD in safeguarding and safer recruitment, GDPR, Prevent awareness online and more.
My current role contributes to the creation of professional learning communities to develop and enhance the student experience and to maximise graduate outcomes. My experience, training and approach to teaching make me a perfect fit forthe tutoring children I believe that my beliefs in exploring,experimenting and challenge as a way of revealing students’ unique talents and successand this is one of my main reasons for applying for this position as a tutor.
My two main passions in life are nurturing and creating art. The second is working with youngpeople to help them get the most out of the creation process as well and to feel the joy which I dowhen I make Art. From a young age, it was very clear to me that I would pursue a career as an Artist.
After gaining my University degree and having completed two diplomas in art and design from two of London’s best art schools where I developed my painting practice, I was ready to begin my careeras an Artist.
After my training, I had my first solo exhibition, I sold out of all thirty paintings which I spent one year creating. For some time, I enjoyed continued success and had multiple exhibitions, both Group and Solo and soon after I realised that I wanted to share my skills and passion. Since I have always enjoyed working with young people had previously worked part time in a Preschool as an Art Specialist, I decided to join a private tutoring agency in London, students would come to my studio inLondon and I would support them through their GCSE’s. Having enjoyed working with slightly older students so much, I decided to apply for an Artist in residence position at Garden House School in London.
At this point I had enjoyed teaching students from EYSF through to Key Stage 3 to 4 as well as myexperience giving ‘mindfulness art workshops‘ to adults in London’s members clubs; a programme I ran independently in a quest inspire young adults to maintain their wellbeing through the process of abstract painting.
I have thoroughly enjoyed all my teaching experiences thus far, the combination of being an artist,working with very young children where playfulness is at the heart of development and up to GCSEwhen students are thinking about pursuing a career in this wonderful subject. It became moreapparent that a job as an Art teacher where I could continue to apply and develop my creativity,motivation and ambition was perfectly suited to me.
Upon this discovery, I have begun to invest some more time and energy into helping work, after myposition as an artist in residence at garden House Primary School in London I began a counselling course which was online as a result of COVID 19, I also qualified as an Art Therapy Coach. I now look forward to using all my experince both as a professional exhibiting ar and teacher and helping children in develop and grow their artistic capabilities in the wonderful subject of Art.

I teach to all ages, up to Grade 8 on the Drums, Grade 4 on the Guitar and on the Piano I will teach to a high standard, but not through the grading system as I only teach basic level sight reading for Piano.
I have taught many students over the years at varying ages and skill levels, and all have come out more passionate and more improved at there instrument.
My students have all mentioned how they find there lessons thoroughly productive and enjoyable, finding themselves increasingly motivated to play after having lessons with me. (see references at the bottom)
In my lessons I will take the students up through the Grades (ONLY for Drums and Guitar), via Rockschool, teaching them everything they need from technique, learning how to sight read, developing improvisation skills, playing in many different genres of music, and how to play by ear. I will also cover how to complement the music you are playing to and how to serve the music. As well as developing musicianship skills and how to have the right attitude in the music business.
- on the Piano I will teach to a high standard, going through everything listed above, as well as scales, arpeggios, inversions, learning classical and contemporary pieces, and basic level sight reading, but NOT grades unfortunately.
