I am a qualified Secondary Science teacher with over a decade of classroom experience, working with students from Year 7 to Year 13. As Head of Physics for 10 years, I was deeply involved in developing schemes of work, designing effective revision strategies, and creating high-quality resources to support learning. Additionally, my experience as a board examiner has given me valuable insight into common exam pitfalls and what mark schemes are really looking for; knowledge that I use to help my students maximise their marks.
After tutoring alongside my teaching role for several years, I launched Huntingdon Science Tutoring in 2024 to provide expert Science tuition to students locally, across the UK, and worldwide. My tuition service is designed to be personalised, engaging, and confidence-boosting, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to succeed.
I take great pride and enjoyment in creating high-quality, tailored resources that address each student’s specific needs, whether that’s stretching high achievers aiming for top grades or supporting students with EBSA who require a more nurturing approach. My lessons are structured, interactive, and carefully designed to bridge knowledge gaps and build confidence.
In addition to 1:1 tuition, I also offer small-group sessions, both online and in-person, as a more affordable option. These sessions provide the benefits of peer collaboration, shared problem-solving, and interactive discussions, while still ensuring that every student receives expert guidance and targeted support from me. Small-group tuition helps build confidence, improves communication skills, and allows students to learn from each other’s questions and perspectives. I currently have Year 11 revision groups and subject masterclasses available; please see my website for more details.
I offer 1:1 sessions after school, as well as daytime slots for home-educated and international students. Session length begins from 55 minutes. If you’d like to learn more, you can find details and a contact form on my website.
Looking forward to supporting your Science journey!

I am an experienced Maths teacher who teaches in an outstanding secondary school from ages 11 - 18 years old. I have been tutoring students for 3 years and they have achieved at least one grade higher GCSE grade with my help. I can provide references from the parents of those students upon request.I prefer in-person tutoring because the student can have a much focused attention to the explanation and also some part of the curriculum needs to be practised in person (ie. constructions). If you are interested, please send me a message or an email or give me a call.

My name is Lydia J. ( also known as " The Maths Specialist"). I am a creative, outgoing and experienced tutor with a contagious passion for maths whose mission is to infect every student I meet with the love for maths.
I have been teaching maths since I was 17 and I am 44 years old now. It's been 27 years since I first started teaching maths. If you or your child struggles with maths and you want results then you have come to the right person.
The study of mathematics, like the Nile, begins in minuteness but ends in magnificence - Charles Caleb Cotton.
These days, anyone who hears me say, "I love maths" thinks I've always loved maths but that's far from the truth. I struggled with maths and even failed my GCE in maths ( an equivalent of GCSE).
So many teachers tried teaching me but I just could not grasp the concepts because they used the same methods I struggled with at school and never worked on finding out what the cracks were in my knowledge. A house built on a faulty foundation cannot stand the test of time.
One day I met the greatest teacher in the world, in my opinion, because not only was he able to teach me maths but he made me love maths. The quote above pretty much sums up how he taught me. He started from the basics, no assumptions made and he used all sorts of new methods to teach me. He showed me that there were so many ways to learn any topic.
I retook my GCE in maths and got the highest grade possible, won an award in maths, studied engineering, taught other students that were tagged "hopeless in maths" and got my daughter ready for her GCSE in maths at a very young age.
It doesn't matter how 'bad' any one is at maths, if they have a desire to learn and time, I can teach them. I am not just any other maths tutor. I am one that produces results.

I have a long track record of supporting young people into further and higher education, as well as apprenticeships and jobs. I can support with CV writing, College and University applications and writing personal statements/cover letters. From the beginning of their career journey when young people are exploring their options, through to the application and interview process I will help to ensure they achieve their goals. The apprenticeship application process is complicated and incredibly competitive. I have specialised in recent years in working with young people to secure places on apprenticeship schemes at organisations including Goldman Sachs, Santander, Jaguar Landrover and the BBC.
Careers coaching can be offered as a series or single appointment.

I have ten years classroom experience with consistently good results. I am also an Expert Examiner with a national exam board which has given me the ability to 'read between the lines' to work out what the specifications are really asking for.
After an initial conversation about timescales and attainment, a diagnostic approach will be taken to determine if the learning need is functional (for example, written English skills) or technical (such as exam skills). From here a personalised curriculum will be designed with milestones indicated so all stakeholders can measure progress.
Sessions will typically last no more than 60 minutes with planned activities that build towards a task to be completed independently between sessions. Time will always be given within the sessions for the tutee to reflect on progress and any emerging learning needs.
