I'm Charlie. I'm a UK qualified teacher with a degree in maths. I've been teaching for seven years, including in secondary schools in the UK, as a private tutor and four years as a secondary maths teacher in a Cambridge International School in Vietnam. My areas of expertise are GCSE and A level. I have experience teaching both online and in person. My experience means I understand and empathise with students going through this challenging and important phase in their lives. I endeavour to offer a challenging but not overly demanding curriculum that encourages students to enjoy maths, as well at make strides in their skill level. My sessions are mostly exam practice focused. My approach is based on careful observation of the student so I can determine their specific areas for improvement. The next step is clear communication, with the necessary adaptations, to guide the student to discover that they have the ability to pass even the most challenging exam questions on their own. Students will recieve weekly homework tasks. I expect students to arrive on time to lessons, with the necessary equipment including a calculator, well slept and ready to learn and to attempt all the work set for them.
i am a great believer in adults as well as children learning to play piano, and that the process should be fun! But i am also looking to teach more than piano... we regularly write reviews of Operas, and do Workshops about how to write music. And we teach you how to write and publish a Song For You, in oher words, you too can create something for yourself, or someone you care for.

I am an Egyptian who lives in UK. I have been teaching Arabic for non arabs for 3 years now. I teach the language based on the goal of the learner. With some learners, we focus on everyday conversation, with others we focus on reading and accurate sounds and with few learners we focus on grammar and writing to achieve advenced levels. I taught young children, older children and adults. I prefer to teach in Arabic with minimal translation (by immersion) so the learner can get more familiar with the langusge but I also can speak English well. I am not only teaching Arabic because it is my native language but I have been always obsessed with it (the standard arabic).
